Do you use this model?
How do you use it?
Do you have some nice preset for me to test? :)

I know that owners of the real thing use this amp to 'fake' with success mesa and marshall tones and given that everybody says that Fender is really good in modeling their own amp i wonder what's the real power of this thing.

A bird told me that Claton and Vai used this amp for some live...

And also what's the peculiarity of this channel. Is there somethingthat can only be done with this model?

All answers will get my Super Sonic Clean preset for free here:

one of the only presets I really liked straight out of the box with no tweaking is #25 Fusion Lead (Super-Sonic model). I like it for high-gain leads. Here's a demo, note how when I use the neck pickup, it almost has that 'Blues Saraceno' kind of smoothness:

I think I used the Super Sonic for this one too, not 100% sure:

I find it to be the only model that has the right high-gain sound for me without using pedals. I was very surprised how useful this model is.

Hi,
i like the idea of double gain stage in the "burn channel" that makes this amp very versatile... i didn't experience much (but i want to do that soon) with it but i remember that is possible to obtain almost every kind of tone from almost clean or slightly dirty, ranging from some level of crunch tones, overdriven tones and up to high gain sustained tones... all depend on the several combinations of gain 1 and gain 2 and master of course..
(the 2 other channels: clean and vintage channels of real amp are also available more or less in Mustang.. the real thing has tones of Twin Reverb ( and Showman) and of Bassman '60 era)
with other models (american '90 for example ) you can't obtain the same versatility and variety of tones and you can't clean up the tone so much also with the gain at minimum.

a very nice project from Fender.
Dimitri

Indeed. Nicely done. And i agree... right out of the box that preset is awesome and no pedals required.

Very nice demos, I like the Super Sonic model but have not used it much... need to play around with that one again. My main crunch tones are Brit 80's and solo tone is Brit 80's with the OD model pushing it harder for more gain and sustain...

Do you use the stock cab model with the SS patch?

Yep, didn't change a thing about it - I don't even know what the settings are. It definitely made me curious about trying the real amp.
