Say you are on stage and want to turn off the overdrive, but not change anything else. Wat do?

use one of the other 99 presets.

Just pointing out that you can get great sounds out of these amps without ever tweaking a thing. The presets uploaded by users to Fuse are some of the best!

Hey Strings, can you give an example of some of the presets you’ve downloaded recently that are really great (not being sarcastic just curious)? Seems like most of what I’ve downloaded is drenched in reverb and/or muffled and just doesn’t sound right which is making believe that settings uploaded from say a Mustang III or IV or V just aren’t going to sound right on a MII or even more so on an MI especially I suppose when pickups come into play. I’m even curious about the cab sim, does it apply the same EQ curve on all the Mustang models? I would think this is a bit silly because even between the MII and MIII having the same size speaker, you still have two different speaker models and thus different Frequency responses. I’ve found a couple Presets that seem to sound good right off the bat but for the most part I’ve all but given up on downloading presets and just settling on a few of my own. BTW… your Edie Brickell touch wah did sound great from the get go on my MII.

start by downloading everything posted by user: Orcatraz. Those are some of the best available, IMO.

https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets?author=orcatraz

Also, pay attention to the rating for a preset when downloading. Try the highest rated presets, some of them are great.

I dunno, but all of the user presets I have tried don't even come close to something I can use. A few of the stock presets were close but i find myself tweaking away in the many parameters available to us in Fuse.

It is also so subjective when you account for what guitar are you playing, pickup, style, amp or PA settings, environment, and just plain personal preferences.

I have the m 3 v 1 and have been gigging with it all summer. I've played little bars, bigger bars, and outdoor festivals with it. I love it now but it took around three months to get it set up and broke in. I used a fender twin for over fourty years before I got the m3 so it was quite a challange at first. I use the 2 and 4 button switches. The two button is for presets and the four button is for fx. After a lot of tweeking I have it down to only five presets and whatever fx I need. I play with 3 bands covering hard rock, classic rock country and a free form jam band. The only pedal I use now is a wah.
It won't ever sound like the twin did but in a band setting I think it's a good versital amp for the price, and when you crank that baby up to six or so it is really loud. It's not the best amp out there but it more than covers all I need and it doesn't weigh over a hundred pounds like the twin. I never really messed with fuse since ya can do most tweeking on the amp. I did go to fuse to turn off a bright switch on one of the amp mods though. This is just my experience nothing more.
Oh, and I get this forum on top ever since I registered my amp on line don't know why. Oh well..........carry on. peace

See these are the kind of posts I've been mentioning a lot over on the tube snob section of this forum. Makes me happy to see another person who likes mustang, but honestly I cannot understand how someone who gigged for 40 years with the legendary Twin, 2X12 can go to an MIII 1X12 in a tiny box. Regardless of weight of the amp. You guys find MIII to be *that* good?

Some love them, some like them, some don't. I don't think anyone will argue against it being a lot of amp for the money. Anything beyond that, I think is up to personal preferences.
