Hi,
I've noticed a problem with the tone of the british amps on my Mustang floor. Btitish 60s with full gain up sounds still like a very slightly overdriven amp, the same thing is with the British 80s. To compare - the super Sonic reacts properly and have enough gain as it should be. What can be wrong? I'm connected throught the unbalanced L Output to ma Technics home stereo and output voicing is set to PA system. I bouguht it used and the version of firmware is 1.2. Can be a problem here? I have no USB cable at the moment so I can not make an update. Will it help or it can be a hardware issue?

Thanks for any suggestions and sorry for my poor english ;)

Hi JanRosomak,

We will be happy to assist. There are two steps we would recommend trying to see if they help resolve the issue you are seeing. The first one would be to update your Fender® Mustang™ Floor's firmware to v.1.4 and see if that helps resolve the issue you are seeing. Should this not prove successful, I would suggest performing a Factory Reset (press and hold the EXIT button while powering up). We do recommend that you backup your Mustang Floor's content, using the Fender® Fuse™ software before resetting your Mustang Floor, since a factory Restore will erase all customized content. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.

Were you able to get this sorted out? I just started having the same issue. On my MII v.2, the HiWatt and Super Sonic seems to gain as normal, the marshall models seem to overdrive a bit but not what I’d expect, and the Fenders not much at all. Only a slight change from 0 to max gain. I’m going to try doing a factory restore after I back up my amp as soon as I get a chance but just curious if you solved this.

thanks

Hi Guys,

We are checking in here to see if issues are resolved with firmware updating or if either of you is still experiencing issues as described. In the mean time, please be sure that your Fender® gear is updated to the most recent firmware version. Please see the link below to get access to the current firmware builds for your product. If you are using the most recent version of the Fender FUSE™ software, these current builds are bundles with that as well. And let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Thanks Fender TSL. I will try doing a factory reset tonight. My laptop was at work yesterday so wasn't able to back up my amp or save some current presets. I'm pretty certain both my firmware and fuse version are up to date but will also confirm that as well.

Confirmed that I had current software and firmware but re blasted firmware anyway. That did not fix so backed up my amp and did factory reset. That did the trick and was even able to restore the backup and still have the gain function as it should. Was especially notible on the Vox model but 57 Twin was much better Gain wise after factory reset

Thanks for the help

Hi,
Thanks everyone for help and fast reaction. I bought a USB cable and did a firmware update. Everything seems to be all right now and I can't believe how good this thing sounds even compare head to head with my tube ENGL Screamer. So close to the real thing...

Regards

Jan
