In case somebody else has the same pedal, today I got a Behringer EQ700 pedal (very well spent 25$ if I can say so myself) and gave it a try in this kind of setup: trying to flatten out the aux input when going thru the mustang 3 speaker. This is no easy task! :)

this is the best I got, which actually sounds quite good to my ears:

-from mp3 player output go to EQ700 input, from EQ700 output go to Mustang aux-in
-100Hz = +5
-200Hz = +1
-400Hz = -3
-800Hz = -10
-1,6Khz = -8
-3.2Khz = 0
-6.4Khz = +7
-Level = +2,5

at the same time I tried another setup to get the phones to sound like the mustang speaker, as much as possible, it really requires only minor EQ. The setup is:

-from Mustang phones output go to EQ700 input, from EQ700 output go phones
-100Hz = -2,5
-200Hz = -1
-400Hz = 2
-800Hz = 4
-1,6Khz = 5
-3.2Khz = 0
-6.4Khz = 0
-Level = 0 to 5
