Recieved my Mustang III V2 today. Wow... I didn't expect it to be that big but I guess it does have a 12" in there. This is a lot of amp and power.

I currently have two Super Champ X2 amps.. one combo unit and a head unit and 1 x 12 cab with a C-Rex in it. I still love my SC X2 units.. I don't think you can beat that sound but I am pretty impressed with the Mustang III as well. For one, I wish the SC had the ability to edit on the fly like that. Much much easier to mix and play with the presets on the Mustang. So far my favorite models on the MIII are the Twin Deluxe, Bassman, Deluxe Reverb and the Brit 60's. And those are pretty much my favorites on the SC X2 as well.

There are some cool presets as well but will have fun making some of my own. I have also read where there is too much power here and it's not controllable and can't get bedroom level use from it. My volume know works beautifullly and can crank it and dial down a quiet nightime level easily.

Looking forward to playing with it for a while!

Corey

Enjoy. I have the musty 1. It is a personal guitar sound machine that allows me to experiment at any level with a pair of earphones. The Musty 3 is laid out better with the screen there. Lot more power and good for gigging while still being a personal "create any sound anytime, too.

I've got the V1 III,

I bought this amp over a year ago, never took it out of the house, instead opting to use my (much heavier) tube amps.

started using the MIII while preparing for a benefit, mostly just for ease of transport. (It gets old lugging a 2x12 or 4x10 combo around with a pedal board)

This thing does an amazing job. Plenty of beans, and with the 2 foot switches, total control over everything. I'm a big believer in using your guitars volume pots to control your onstage volume, and usually with solid state amps, you're not going to get that to work great in all situations.

The MIII behaves much more like a true tube amp does than anything I've ever used prior, it's ingenious. If mine fried, I'd replace it immediately.
