I would like to know if it is possible to find a preset for Mustang I to reproduce the sound of the guitar in the disco music of the 70's lately used by Daft Punk in 'Get Lucky'.
Thanks.

Hi vicy66,

Thanks for your inquiry. It may be kind of a long shot on finding something by name for what you are searching for. However, another option may be to "audition" the Presets on your amp. When you find something that is close to the tone you are looking for, you can make the appropriate adjustments such as Gain, tone or related effects to dial in the desired sound.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

I play Get Lucky with my band, and I use my main 'clean preset', which is the stock 'Beauty Clean' preset, tweeked with a bit more compression, chorus, and gain.

That's one of the best presets the amp comes with and I use it alot. FTR, I do not use any of the stock presets the way they came, but I've used them as a foundation for my main presets that I currently use.

Hi laywrite,

That's a great way to get started. A lot of consumers use an existing Preset as a template when creating a new Preset. Sounds like you are having fun. Let us know if we can assist further.

Thank you for your kind reply.
Given that you play Get Lucky, have you got guitar tabs, because I would like to compare them to my way of playing (I'm not very good at it!!!!) ?

No Tabs, but I pretty much play the verses with bar chords: Bminor-->Dmajor---->Fsharp minor--->Emajor, and I strum only the D, G, and B strings. During the chorus, I ramp it up some by strumming the whole chord.

The strumming pattern is tricky, and Marty S explains it well in this tutorial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAIrWJZY9Ck

Go to 3:50 in the video to get to the strumming on the bar chords.

Have fun!
