I wonder if any of you know if the Mustang IV v2 is being discontinued?
I have looked at various online retailers over here in UK and most seem to have little or no stock and a few of them are saying item has been discontinued.
I would hate to spend my hard earned money then realise something new was to replace it , I know it happens but in present times we all have to watch how we spend our cash.
I play a fender stratocaster classic player 60's three colour sunburst and a squier standard strat into a peavey vypyr 30 .
I am not a gigging guitarist as I am a singer and primarily a drummer who is broadening his musical understanding by learning to play guitar I have GarageBand and a Yamaha aw16g in my small home studio.
My choices are a small tube amp , blackstar or a fender and keep my vypyr 30 , or a new peavey VIP 3 , or mustang III or IV.
Please go easy on me guys and girls this is my first ever post :P

It's in stock at Thomann. Sounds weird if it is discontinued, or maybe they are planning to put a gap between III and V and create a 2x12 cab? :P

Possibly a particular store, or chain of stores, have chosen to discontinue stocking the amp. I don't think that says anything about whether Fender have stopped making it. (Although a quick search suggests most of the main music stores in UK are still selling it, or at least claim to be on their websites...)

Unfortunately, what products a music store (or any store!) actually sells, depends more on what deals the accountants can do with the various distributors (and this changes month by month), rather than whether a product is any good or is popular with the buying public. It also depends on stock availability from the distributors, which in turn depends on who has bid what for the container-loads of stuff being shipped from the far East.

So it all comes down to decisions by middlemen who care only about numbers and not about guitars or music. The manufacturer and the customer often have little say in it.

Thanks for the replies, as yet I am undecided but I'm going to just try a few out and see which I like best! :P
