I decided to pick up a Mustang Mini amp today. I had a Mustang I which I purchased used over a year ago. I took it back. I did enjoy the way the 57 Deluxe and the Supersonic sounded so much that I decided to get the Mustang mini because it will sit nicely next to my laptop. I can now pump from the phone jacks into a small mixer I have here as well. I plan on using it as a demo tool for putting tunes together. When I want a different flavor, I'll use small one watt tube amps I can plug direct into the board as well. I'm going to have a little bit of time on my hands right now to do this stuff, while I get ready to start my next job venture coming up. I haven't even opened the box yet. I'll do that later tonight as well as register it with Fender. This is a toy amp to have fun with just like one of those Roland Cubes, etc. I like the built in tuner, headphones, MP3 input or IPod input, etc. I also like further messing with the fuse software I seem to still have access to. This was also a factor in me deciding to get this amp.

The first night I opened it up I messed with it for over two hours straight! About a day later I tried it out with the Fuse after a very quick and simple upgrade! (Right on to Fender I believe they are getting it right on this frontier!) I'll probably record with it some later on tonight. Being solid state has the advantage of hearing it through good headphones I can slam some good demos on a digital tracker pretty easily. I find the Fender amp simulations to sound pretty decent. I rather have this then an interphase for right now. In the future I'll explore DAW a bit more. I as a rule enjoy I analog greatly. This can be a pretty neat toy however. I'll report back after I get some tracks working right for myself. By the way, I also dig the 65 Deluxe Reverb on fuse when I tweak it a bit for more balls. The Bassman fuse deal I plan on beefing up a bit as well. I like articulation in sound but, I hate it if it sounds too thin and weak. Good sustain takes away my insecurity as well. Thanks for responding. Cheers!
