Hi gerrypeters,

We will be happy to assist. Please follow the steps below to see if it helps resolve the issue you are seeing.

Fender® EXP-1 expression pedal calibration procedure:

-Press and hold UTIL while powering on, UTIL LED should light up for 1 second.
-Move the expression pedal between the desired heel and toe endpoints to set the range.
-Turn the encoder knob to the next Preset to complete the process.

Doesn't sound like this is a calibration issue.

After you change the pedal settings in FUSE, do you then save the preset back to the amp? The pedal settings are part of the preset; if you don't save the preset (to the amp, not just to the PC) then the settings will be lost.

Also, (some, all?) the pedal settings are per-preset. So you need to separately change, and save, the pedal settings for every preset you want to use the pedal with.

O.P. needs to describe the steps they are following and the behavior of the amp.

Hi gerrypeters,

We are checking in with you to see if calibration corrected the issue or not. If not, you may want to look at one of the affected Presets in Fender® FUSE™ and go to the Expression pedal settings window (Control-E / Win, Command-E / Mac). There, you will want to check to confirm what the actual pedal settings are in the Preset. You may find that they are set to 100% Heel and 0% Toe. If so, reverse these, and Save the Preset. Then see if this corrects the behavior.

One other option would be to try a Factory reset (press/hold Encoder knob while starting up). If you do a reset, be sure to back up Presets you have customized before the reset (Main Menu/Utilities/BackUp). Be sure to let us know if we can assist further. And we will be glad to assist further if the unit is still not working correctly. Thanks.

Best Regards,
