hey this maybe a silly question, but im tired and cant wrap my head around this.

i use the preamp mostly with some slight reverb and tape delay.....yay for me

anyhoozen, i like the my eh small clone chorus better than the on board chorus effects.

i dont however like the chorus with my fullbore metal distortion pedal. the easy solution is to just to turn the chorus off and the distortion on, however, im not that quick with the 2 clicks that is neccesary to do that.

im not sure what the fx sends and return are. is there some way i can plug in each of my 2 pedals in, to like separeate channels or something, leave them on all the time, and somehow use the 4 button pedal to select the individual channel or whatever, of which one would be the chorus pedal, and the other would be the metal pedal?

i hope this makes sense, and thank you for your time.

No, the fx send/return sockets don't work the way you suggest. They are a stereo fx-loop that is always 'active' when something is plugged into it. (rather than me repeat many other people's good words, search this forum or the internet for "fx loop" if you want to know more about what this is and how to use it)

Here's an alternative suggestion to achieve what you want, assuming you're happy to have both your effects at the same place in the signal chain (from your post this seems to be the case, although normally a chorus and overdrive would be in different positions).

Buy an A/B splitter box and a 2-into-1 mono jack Y cable. Connect guitar to A/B box common socket. Connect overdrive input to 'A' output of splitter box and chorus input to 'B' output. Connect each pedal's output to the 'branches' of the Y cable. Connect the Y cable 'common' plug to the amp input. Now, just pressing the A/B toggle button on the splitter box will switch between the two presets.
