Hi guys
When I use the Exp 1 pedal with the diatonic pitchshifter it only allows the mix and tone to be changed/controlled with the exp 1 is this correct? I thought it would be able to change the notes to be shifted, for eg if I play a c minor backing track and set the pitchshifter to c minor some of the harmonised notes do not fit in with the music.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
in my opinion, probably that parameter is not included for EXP-1 because you are supposed to prepare the preset for a specific song, already knowing the right musical key , and setting the harmonizer in that key and a proper Scale.
the pitch parameter is not so suitable to be changed in real time because would change in steps..
We say that is a "static" way to use the effect.

In some harmonizer, there are the parameters of pre-delay and feedback, and these are suitable to be changed in real time for interesting effects, but it is not our case.

We find these two parameters (and all the rest ) instead in the pitch shifter: in this case especially the "pitch" it can change seamlessly and often (not always) has to be changed in real time. the latter is an example of a possible dynamic use of virtually all parameters.
