This is Jeepdude. I guess its been a week ago or so since I got problem number 1 taken care of - and that was getting Mustang to show up in the Hardware box under the Audio section of Preferences of Live 8. Since them I've tried numerous times to record with no luck. There is no playback. I've viewed numerous LIVE 8 videos and read different forums and I cannot locate what I'm doing wrong. Don't know if its operator error or an equipment issue.

Are you saying that the sound isn't being recorded (so there is nothing there to play back), or that it is being recorded but you just can't hear it when you play it back?

What have you selected as the output device in Ableton? Can you hear other audio (eg mp3 files played in Media Player etc) using this output device?

As before, assuming you're following Fender's instructions for setting this up: what exactly do you do at every step, what exactly do you see, and at what point in the process does what you see differ from what the instructions say you should see on the screen?

Either you've inadvertently missed a step (easily done!), in which case going through it in detail will help identify that. Or something about your computer means the standard instructions don't work - in which case knowing at what point the difference occurs will help pinpoint the issue.

Hi Jeepdude1,

It looks as if you may still be experiencing some challenges getting your amp set up to record/playback properly with Ableton Live Lite Fender® Edition software. Please feel free to contact us directly for additional support on this. And, as always, thanks much to scott-uk for your participation and assistance. You rock dude!

Cheers,

Alan
