Hey guys!

I'm still learning how to use Ableton and I read the manual and I tried to find tutorials but nothing really helped me.

I have a Fender Mustang III which comes w/ Ableton Lite 8. I've installed Fender Universal ASIO driver and followed the instructions on Ableton but it's like if my amp isn't even connected to my computer.
What do I do? Do I need a pre amp or should I read the manual again?

Thanks!

What exactly do you do, what exactly do you see? If you can explain in more detail, someone might be able to point out a key step you've missed, etc.

Can you use FUSE on the PC to control the amp? This would at least confirm whether the physical USB connectivity is working (although FUSE doesn't use the ASIO driver so that's as far as this bit of troubleshooting will go).

No, you shouldn't need any additional components. Not sure which manual you're using, have you seen the tutorial video here:
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... io-driver/

and the detailed screenshots here:

You don't explicitly mention it, so for completeness: have you obtained your Ableton licence and registered Ableton with it? See here:

I am having the same issue. In fuse it shows my amp is connected and it syncs whenever I start the software but no sound comes out. When I use amplitude I get sound through my computer speakers. I downloaded the driver for fender universal driver and i am able to set the fender asio as my audio device in ableton but when I click hardware it doesnt bring up the menu to select output devices. It doesnt do anything when I click on hardware. I have registered every product I have downloaded. I am unable to record or get sound. For some reason there is no sound through my comp. speakers in fuse. I have a mustang 5 v.2 and using vista

@le-bitch: You may need to click the ASIO icon on the System Tray and in the window that pops up there a little on/off toggle beside the amp's name.

Fender is using the ASIO4ALL driver and this seems to be a common gotcha... I had to do that a few months ago on my desktop PC (using ASIO4ALL with a Rocksmith cable) then I had to do it again last night the first time I connected my new Mustang to my laptop using the Fender ASIO driver.
