...and not just opinions and or an answer or two.

1. I have a Mustang amp but now want to also pick up a Mustang floor. I use and old Morley Wah and an overdrive/distortion pedal in front of it and really like just using the 65 Twin patch. Do you think the *floor* will take my pedals like the amp? I will be feeding the Floor into my studio's gear with speakers and or a PA with monitoring.

2. Anybody hear any news about a new floor coming out anytime soon?

3. What features would you like added or changed when or if a new floor comes out?

As far as I understand the Floor has the same modeling electronics as the Mustang III to V amps so putting a Floor in-front of the amp would be a waste of money because the amp can do the same too.

The only advantage of the Floor is that it has more buttons for direct access and a built-in pedal. You can achieve the same by just buying a 4-button footswitch and an expression pedal.

If you insist on using the Floor with an amp then have a look in this thread for further answers.

Thanks for your reply but I have no intention of using the Mustang Floor with my Mustang amp. I am wanting to know whether the Mustang Floor will take my pedals well and sound similar to my pedals into my Mustang amp.

Not even close...

the input characteristics of the mustang amps and floor are the same, and the effects are also the same, so yes, a pedal will work the same with both.
In the case of the floor you can also put the external pedal in the floor fx-loop and switch the fx-loop on and off with the "insert" footswitch. btw the insert footswitch setting (on or off) gets saved with the preset
