If so , can someone point me where to find that info?

Also , I have been trying to run my F Floor in an effect loop in my Fender HRD with limited success . It sounds like $@!&. I am not sure I have it hooked up properly.

Thank you for any help you might be able to give me. :D

I think all your questions have been discussed in this forum before, so I'll just give brief answers.

If you mean in terms of firmware possibilities, then no. At least not from information available so far.

Effects loop question

So I assume you're asking if you can move the position of the effects loop in the M-Floor signal chain? Again, the answer is no. This is a definite no, there isn't any possible firmware upgrade to change this as the hardware of the M-Floor fixes the fx-loop in position at the very start of the signal chain.

Let's start by asking you: what sort of set-up do you want to achieve, and how do you currently have everything hooked-up? The 'simple' setup is:
- guitar to HRD input
- HRD fx-send to M-Floor input
- M-Floor output to HRD fx-return

I'm assuming from what you say that the HRD does have an fx loop? Note the M-Floor's fx loop isn't used in this scenario; as your first question was about the M-Floor fx loop though, it makes me wonder if you have things connected differently to above?

That is how I tried hooking it up. There is a really bad hum when I hook it up. In fact anytime I use any kind of drive with the floor unit it hums excessively. By drive , I Mean the overdriven presets on the floor. May be it's the cords , but they are pretty much new.

Could be a ground-loop problem, that's a common cause of hum. Discussed many times before on this forum (and all over the internet) so I won't repeat all the details as you can find them elsewhere. In brief, a couple of things to try:

- Try the M-Floor and HRD in different power sockets; try them in the same socket if currently in different ones, or vice versa.

- If you also have a computer connected to the M-Floor via USB, try disconnecting that.

As an aside, I never understand why guitar amps/equipment, and PA equipment in general, seems to suffer so badly from ground-loop issues (and other power-related noise), when even cheap domestic hi-fi audio equipment has no such problems. The shielding/suppression technology necessary to cure the problems is cheap and readily available, why don't they just put it in guitar equipment?

I'm a little surprised at the advice given so far and I think a key point has been missed. You have a couple of options

1. using the mustang floor in the HRD amps effects loop using the HRD preamp, you would go guitar> HRD guitar input> amp effect send> floor input> floor output> amps effect return. This setup would require turning off the Mustang Floor preamp/amp modeling or you will get a lot of noise because you are basically running 2 preamps, hence I believe the cause of your noise and crappy sound you speak of. Using the effects loop you only want the EFFECTS of the Floor, not the modeling.

2. If you want to use the Floor preamp/amp modeling, you would go guitar> mustang floor guitar input> mustang floor output> HRD effect return. This bypasses the HRD preamp and uses the Floor preamp/modeling, using the HRD as a power amp for the mustang floor. (basically a tube version of a mustang 3 amplifier).

Try one of these methods of connection and both should get you more pleasing results. Hope this helps

I quit running it through the effects loop and changed up cords and I am getting some really good tones . Only it is through my Carvin now. I am fearful of screwing up my Deville experimenting with the floor unit.
