Not sure if this has been asked already. I just got a new computer, old one crashed. I was wondering if there are any issues between Windows 8 and Fuse and/or AISO driver?

No answer so far. I guess this will wait until a moderator comes back to work. Was hoping to record this weekend. A bit more complicated than I wished for.

When Windows 8 first appeared, I recall some people reporting problems with both FUSE and the ASIO driver (both Fender's ASIO driver and ASIO4ALL). I don't think it was ever completely established whether those people's specific problems were because of Windows 8 incompatibilities, or other reasons, but "no smoke without fire..."

However, for the last few months, I haven't seen anyone reporting Windows 8 problems with either FUSE or ASIO, so my assumption was that any O/S-related problems have now been fixed. I don't personally have Windows 8 so I'll defer to anyone who does, to confirm or correct this.

If you have a specific issue you want Fender support to look at, it's probably better if you email them directly (they put their email address in all their posts) then they can work through your specific problem with you. In my experience they're very helpful, although they're also very busy so give them a few days to respond and sort things out for you.

Hi rkreisher,

We will be happy to assist. Our FENDER® UNIVERSAL ASIO DRIVER is fully compatible with Windows 8. If you are experiencing issues with ASIO signal routing, it might help to download the latest beta release build from ASIO4ALL's website (please see below). We also want to make you aware of the fact that all the Fender® Mustang™ products are Input only devices. This means that if you plan on using your Mustang as a monitor, you will need to connect an 1/8" auxiliary cable going from your computer to the AUX input on your amp. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.

RECORD AUDIO FROM A FENDER® FUSE™-COMPATIBLE AMP OR DEVICE DIRECTLY INTO A COMPUTER:

Thanks for the reply. Believe it or not, I had my computer ready to go, then realized that there was a flaw. I had to return it for another computer. I will try this weekend but do not anticipate any issues. It worked with the other computer. Thanks a lot for the reply.

Richard
