Does anyone know if they have figured out the cause and a fix on the fizz issue with the Mustang's?

Hi,
in Version 2 but also Version 1 (i had a Mustang 3 v.1 , i have a M3 V.2) the fizz that occurred in clean tones is fixed starting from firmware update 1.09 or 1.10 (the last for version 1) .. i don't know about Mustang I but should be the same.

other similar problems still occurs in most overdriven tones .. as discussed in another post, high input levels can create hard clipping an so unwanted modulations phenomena.. buzzing tones and phaser-like effects mainly..

Cool. Sounds like I need to update mine then and try it out. I had wanted to use it for recording, but the fizz was so bad as the notes trailed off that I went with Amplitube and haven;t even played my Mustang in months until the other day. After hearing how bad the decay fizz was I remembered why I quit using it! I will give it a try, because even though I'm griping a little, I do like the amp a great deal and the sound of it, just not the other part!

In the v.1 amps, the fizz in the Mustang I and II were corrected with a firmware update, so if you have one of those and update to the latest firmware, you should notice an improvement. The fizz in the Mustang III, IV, and V was never remedied, so if you have one of those Mustangs with fizz, there is no change.

The v.2 amps reportedly have no fizz.

I have I think, a version 1. I got it around December of 2011.

I plugged it in last night and it did some kind of new downloading, as I have a new computer that didn't have Fuse on it, and it appears to no longer fizz on the settings I had previously been hearing the fizz! Yay! I assume that means I must have the latest version. Thanks for the info folks.
