I just got the Mustang 1, didn't expect much for the price, wow was I surprised, sweet Fender vintage mojo. I love the Twin clean with a Bad Monkey in front of it. I hate to say this, I can't believe I'm saying this but it sounds better than my hand wired tube amp. And at much lower volumes. There is still some funny fizz once and a while and it gets noisy with the on board distortion boxes but I'm still amazed at what a good job they have done, blows away Line 6 stuff at a price less than most FX boxes! Did i say wow already? Wow.

How do you record one of these suckers on Reaper, I can't get Reaper to reconize it?

Have you installed the Fender ASIO driver? You'll need that.

If REAPER doesn't recognize the Fender ASIO driver, try the ASIO4ALL driver:

http://www.asio4all.com/

Then, you'll have to set the ASIO4ALL driver up. You want to set the Mustang as the input (since the USB is only one way on the Mustang) and your soundcard as the output - I think... I'm not sure as I use the Mustang's headphone out to a mixer then to a audio interface.

Yes you can, either one you already have or Ableton, a licence for which is included with your Mustang. And as already noted, you need to install an ASIO driver.

Suggest you read the following for full details on all the above:

Mustang Manuals (choose the appropriate ones from this page for your language and amp model):
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... s-manuals/

Fender support articles all about DAWs, recording, USB, ASIO, getting your Ableton licence, etc:
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... recording/
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... io-driver/
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... -computer/

Also you may want to install FUSE to configure your amp using a PC:

Thanks guys, I might try the head phone output to interface first, although I read where the amp sims were not as good out of the headphone output, that's why I didn't try it, but i will now. Is the Amplitube LE any good, do you know?

after working in the medical field for several years, whenever I see 'DAW' all I can think is 'Dispense As Written'.
