Hey,

I've got questions about the Mustang III V2. I hope you can help me.

How can I change the order of the presets?
Can I use the Line out as a Mono-Line out (using only one output)?

I want to solder a XLR cable. Balanced or unbalanced? On which pin is which cord vein (male and female)?

Thanks and kind regards.

Hi,

To reaorder the presets, there's not a simple answer, one way is, using fuse, to download to the computer each preset you want to rearrange (one by one) and then re-upload to the amp to the position you want (one by one). There are some user developed tools explained in the forum that can do this in a easier way, look for something called the "horse tamer"

Regarding the XLR outs, you can obviously connect to just only one output, but there's no way to configure the output as mono (as you can do with the mustang floor for example). In the other hand only a handful of effects are stereo so you are not losing much.

The kind of XLR cable you are going to need depends on what you are trying to connect the mustang to. mixer XLR input? mixer unbalanced input? mixer balanced input?

You can also reorder the presets from the amp by simply finding a few you hate, and dumping the first few into those slots. When on a preset you want to move press save once. Then scroll to the slot you want to put it, and hit save again.

With the first few now open, say 00 -6, find the ones you want in those slots and save them there.

It's tedious and repetetive, but once it's done, it's done.
