Hi Paj,
thanks.
would not be better an adapter with the opposite configuration?
Like this: 1/4 inch TS FEMALE to Dual 1/4 inch TS MALE Y Cable - 6 Inch , so 1 mono Female to dual mono Male jacks ...

ABSOLUTELY NOT. A 2Female-1Male adapter is what you need to get two inputs (your guitar signal from the M3 exf out + your G55 synth signal) into the M3 exf return. Mono (TS) plugs are also required. TRS ('stereo") jacks will not pass one of the signals and may even introduce hum.

Hi,
perhaps i got there..
#1 a cable goes from Roland Guitar out (just real pickup or/and modelling guitar ) to Mustang Input.
#2 a very short cable (for example jack to jack for stompboxes) goes from Send (mustang) to one of the Female on adapter,
#3 then a ( longer) cable goes from Left/mono output (Roland) into the other Female on adapter.
#4 And the Male of adapter goes into Return to complete the path.

It should work...

Dimitri

impedances are fine, the outputs in the oland and the aux-input on the mustang are both for line-out levels.

Any mono 1/4 male to 1/8 male cable should be fine to go from the roland to the mustang. having both stereo outputs is also possible, but the mustang has only one speaker... so :)

Hi Jedi,
i tested with the audio cable and RCA/Jack adapters i mentioned before and it seems to work well ... i knew that stereo output can't be exploited in this way but at this point i preferred to send the stereo signal into Aux as it was a signal from a audio/video player.. I think it will not bring disadvantages though not bring benefits of stereo image.

The problem is when you need also the band track from Aux ; then the other kind of connection on Send / Return , suggested by PayFender would be suitable for the purpose.

I was at GuitarCenter the other day and noticed that they have the correct (2F 1/4-inch TS--->1M 1/4-inch TS) adapter from LiveWires for $5.

Hi Paj,
today i was just thinking that one of these days i'll order that adapter but i have to deal with shipping fees (to Italy) .. so i would like to find a good deal (price+shipping fees) on line .. in that case it is all right also from Usa sellers..
at guitarcenter.com (it is that you mentioned? ) it costs on line 7.99 $ but the shipping fees are so expensive (DHL courier)

to say.. in past i bought several cd in Amazon.com from US third party sellers.. the shipping fees was usually very low.. common international air mail . (99% arrived and in perfect condictions..) At today the most convenient for shipping fees to Italy is usually Amazon UK.. even if the British Pound is stronger than Euro.

For the moment, I'll be back to take a look on the sites that you said in a precedent post.. Radioshacks, and of course ebay ..

Thanks
Dimitri

edit: I knew it! Just bought the RadioShack Y adapter on Amazon UK. Only 4 £ and pennies, included shipping fees...

Fondizi,
Just wanted to point out that the cable plugged into your guitar counts as one of the cables in the "four-cable method" (4CM).

I'm using a Zoom G5 in front of my Mustang III version 2. I turn off all the modeling on the Zoom and set the MIII to a nice clean setting. It sounds WAY better than I expected. So when I need more control than the 4-button footswitch, I just use the Zoom G5 for delays, mods, compression, overdrives, boost and volume (all at the same time if I want) !!!
