I almost got rid of my musfloor due to a problem I was encountering which made the sound horrible. It was my fault, because I did not set it to PA! Once I did, Boom! Tone for days!

We will be happy to assist. It seems as if scott-uk, gave you some great advise . Thanks again Scott. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Any chance an update will be made soon, that will allow us MUSFLOOR lovers to move the signal Chain around? I need this in order to do swells and effects playing properly, or am I missing something? I would love to have my effects to trail or tail off after I drop my volume pedal, and vice versa. I play in church and have to use alot of dreamy effects with lots of delay and verb that continues once I drop the hammer on the pedal.

Hi jasonk931,

You should be able to use the Fender® Mustang™ Floor as you describe. Be sure that you have the Volume Mode selected as On in the Fender® FUSE™ Expression Mode window. You should be able to use the pedal on your Mustang Floor by bringing the pedal to the heel position to hear the amp volume go off and the effects trail off as desired. Be sure that the heel setting is at 0 and the toe is at 100.

Also be sure that you have the most current firmware linked below. Let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

You can already do this with FUSE.

Hi jasonk931,

You can assign nearly any parameter from any effect or the amp to either the Volume or Expression pedal modes. Please launch Fender® FUSE™, and select Control-E (Win) or Command-E (Mac) and have a look at the Expression pedal settings and options. You will see a variety of options and possible combinations. Please check this out and let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

To add a bit more...

You can't move the volume location itself. However, there are multiple 'volumes' at different points in the signal chain. You can assign the pedal to any one of these, and thus change the place in the signal chain where the pedal affects the volume.

The 'volume' mode of the pedal controls the final, post-all-effects, volume. Many have observed this isn't the most useful.

So what you can do instead is use the 'expression' mode of the pedal, and assign the pedal to (eg) the 'volume' within the amp model (nb see addendum), or the 'level' of a stomp-box effect, etc.

Thus you can (for example, and I think this is what you want to achieve from some of your other posts), kill the volume of the incoming guitar signal, by using the pedal to control the volume within the amp model (or the level of a stomp effect), while leaving the 'tails' of delay and reverb effects (which are [usually] later in the signal chain than the stomp and amp model) to continue sounding.

Addendum: I just played around with this, and the pedal settings in FUSE aren't intuitive. If you set the 'expression' mode of the pedal to the amp volume, it still functions as a final, master volume and kills the delay tails etc. What you need to do is set the 'expression' mode of the pedal to just 'volume' - this setting is what actually controls the amp volume, before the post-amp effects, and thus preserves the delay tails. Although there's nothing obvious on-screen to indicate this is what it's going to do!
