Folks!!!!! I must be high for not getting this pedal sooner! I was nervous at first because of the simplicity of the MusFloor, and then I plugged it in where my pod was in our auditorium about 40 minutes ago....Unbelieveable. Finally, some tone, feel, and fullness from a floor pedal direct to PA. Fender, you rule the stringed universe with wings of Alder and claws of nickel and bone.

Line 6 Pod Hd500 vs. MusFloor= Chuck Norris Eats the pod hd 500, and asks the MusFloors permission to continue his meal!!!

I turned it on and wham! Each preset packed with tone, tone, and more tone!

A/B the compressors. Musfloor= smooth, even compression and boost when needed. Line 6= A little hollow and overly trebling on all. They got the mix crossed with their overdrive s and compressors. 8)

Get A MUSFLOOR!

ya man, this doesn't surprise me. The line 6 stuff had it's hey day, (like when they were the only game in town I guess)..

I've got a line 6 pod, I've loaned it to my bro in-law, once he returns it, I'm selling it...

I think Fender has leap frogged just about all of them with the Mustang series.

I had a Vox Valvetronix, it was "ok"... I picked up a Mustang III last year,, superior in every aspect.

rock on!

Glad you are digging the Mustang Floor, welcome to the club!

I have had the Mustang Floor for quite awhile now and it is a really nice tool for my studio. I use Propellerhead Reason as my DAW and the Line 6 sims included are really weak for the guitar. They work ok for my bass guitar, but lack a lot of luster for recording guitar. I bought a Mustang V when they first came out, but it was way too noisy so I sold it and took a gamble on the Floor when they were $299.00.

What a difference that made in my recordings. Much beefier and the tracks sit really nice in the mix. For the price they are going for now they are cheaper than a DI and offer a hell of a lot more in return.

For live action I took one of my PA amps, a QSC GX5, added a Rane Dual band EQ and plugged it into one of my 2 x 12 ext. cabs with two 16ohm Texas Heats and it sounds as good as my tube amps. I have a/b'd it against my Blues Deluxe and Blues Deville 4 x 10 and dialed in presets for both of those amps. I also a/b'd miked both of those cabs with sm57's, sm58's and a condensor mike and the Floor still sounds better in my headphones and all I have to do is hook the stereo XLR outs into my mixer and punch record.

The physical layout of the buttons on the Floor I think are really well planned out and I have almost hit the buy now on another Mustang V, but stop when I think about losing all of those nice buttons of the Mustang Floor for just a four button foot switch. I wish Fender would make a controller like the Mustang Floor for the Mustang Amps, that would be killer.

For $199.00 the Floor is a steal for what it is capable of producing. I have paid much more than that for some of my single effects pedals for my tube amps. About three months ago I bought a Zoom G5 and use that in the effects loop of the Floor and my tube amps for all of the delays, reverbs, rotary and a ton more stuff, but I think the amp sims are a little weaker than the Floor. All of my Electro Harmonix stuff sounds really good in the effects loop of the Floor and I have pretty good results with overdrives in front of the Floor as well, in fact my cheap $@! Boss Distortion and Beri Tube Overdrive blow away my Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet and Hardwire CM2 going into the front of the Floor.

With my Mustang Floor, Boss RC3, Zoom G5 and Propellerhead Reason the sky is my limit in creativity for recording.

And it rocks out hard when I hook it to my Rack Rig...

I love it! Great gear you got there. I've been looking into adding only one thing to my mustang floor, a good looper. I like the jamman xt live due to it having a 3 minute loop ability, and a drum tracker on it, but what are your opinions on loopers? Features, without being too busy.

I've had racks of the worlds most sought after pedal, and those days are done for me. I go musfloor direct to house PA, and that gives me tonal bliss. I sing lead, play rythm, and sometimes fill in on leads. Also do some backing effects, hence, the looper feature needed.

By the way, named my dog Fender as his eyes look like my sunburst strat. Just too cool!

I've had a MFloor since last year, paid € 299,00 for it just after it came out.

I've made at least a dozen commercial record projects with it, at least a hundred gigs and three times that of rehearsal time.

What can I say? It's not the Alpha And Omega, mind you; but it just keeps on delivering every single tone I've been asked for in every session I've used it with three different guitars, a LPC, a 335 and a Strat.

I just can't wait for the version 2.0 to hit the market; and I won't mind at all to pay full retail price for it!

The Boss RC3 is working really well with my Mustang Floor....

Does anyone know if the "mustang floor" can be used with "Bass" guitar effectively? I do not own an amp, and have been connecting directly to mixing board (p.a.).

Does the Mustang Floor have a Studio Preamp? I was under the impression that it was version 1, which doesn't.

There's only one Mustang Floor.

Mine has the Studio Preamp, which I've used to record a Jazz Bass Deluxe V, a Peavey Cirrus and a Tobias, which all are active, and I've been able to get really nice sounds from all of them.

The Bassman was originally designed to be a bass amp, in case you forgot. ;)

Hi suck@bass,

I will be happy to assist. Although the Fender Mustang products aren't designed for Bass guitar, you should be able to us the Fender Mustang Floor in conjunction with your Bass.

We advise that you perhaps try using the lower gain amp modelling for this application and make sure that you watch out for "clipping" when you increase the gain for each Preset. A possible solution to get the most signal out of your bass without clipping might be to add a compressor pedal before plugging in to the Mustang Floor unit, or connecting it in the loop (this way you could bypass the compressor pedal, by pressing the Insert Loop button in the bottom left corner). This way you can increase the output level from the compressor pedal going your amp and get a more even signal before you add amp modelling.

You will of course have to experiment and use your own judgement when tweaking a tone that sounds good, to you. If you hear any clipping, just lower the gain, either the selected amp modelling or on the effect to eliminate this behavior. We have also attached a link to some Bass Presets for the Fender Mustang (V.2) amplifiers. These Presets will be compatible with your Fender Mustang Floor with the exception of some amp modelling and effects, that will be replaced with (V.1) content. Please let us know how it goes and if we can assist further.
