Arrived lastnight. Only got to play around with it for about 20 min because kids were asleep and it was late by the time i got home from work but wow... I'm gonna love this amp. Compliments my CS69s so nicely. Was really digging the Bassman model and the Supersonic.

Now downloading some presets to start off with and will get into the Fuse software. What an incredible amp for the price... when i was a kid, I had a friggin Gorilla amp as my first practice amp... Little bastards are lucky these days.

It would be really sweet if you could have two stomp boxes so i could have a Fuzz or OD with Boost... then i could ditch the GT6 completely but i'll hold onto it for now for the extra OD's. Amp models blow it out of the water though.

Way to go Fender!

Hi,
did you mean Boss GT6? over the years i had a boss GT5 , then a Roland VG88 , Gr33 and now a gr55 + Mustang 3 v2. (also a Mustang 3 v.1 i sold some months ago)

most of customers of new Mustang V.2 would like to get two stomp boxes for example to have compressor before overdrive/fuzz or boost + overdrive/fuzz .. i also would love this update.. but we don't know if the processing power and memory on new mustang serie is limited to just 4 effect sections (stomp, modulation, delay, reverb) .. the buttons switch on the amp are physically 4 though..

i'm thinking...
to take full advantage of these 4 sections..
if it could be possible to create a function to change the location of an effect from one section to another in a similar way now we can change chain order of effects in Fender Fuse .. it could do the trick..

Example Application #1 : i move one of stompboxes available (e.g. .. big fuzz) to an empty slot of modulation section and then can be able to activate compressor or ranger booster in stompbox and fuzz in the section of modulation (where fuzz is a guest..)
in this chain wouldn't be possible use other kind of "real" modulations like phaser, tremolo etc.. though ... unless... (see the last paragraph with the full idea)

Example Application #2 : i move one of modulation effects in an empty slot of stompbox section and have the possibility to use also another modulation effect in its original section. Also this kind of chain is desiderable for many users..

In general, to have the possibility to move 1 or more effects of any of 4 sections available to another section to which do not belong, would increase a lot the flexibility of these very good amps.
it is just a kind of draft , an idea.. i don't know if Fender programmers would be able to realize this in a next firmware update.

Yes I have the Boss GT6. I like the Big Muff model on the Mustang is worlds better than that of the GT6 so I'd love to be able to Use that ahead of the Ranger Boost but can't with the one stomp box limitation. I'm going to see how the Muff on the GT6 sounds with the Ranger boost... maybe it will sound better in front of the Mustang.

If its a DSP limitation, i wonder if its possible that you have access to whatever pedals you need as your within the DSP limit... kind of like weight watchers points i Suppose.

Great amp though. I'm loving this so far. I loaded a few presets from the fuse community. Looking forward to fully tweaking this up and cranking it.

Hi,
yes i think that the Big Muff on Mustang is more realistic (also the 3 knobs emulate the real behaviour, particularly the filter or tone control) and closer to the original than the Muff fuzz that i also have on GR55...
by the way (it is partially off topic).. i think Roland emulations has been improved over the years since the times of GT5 or VG88, but Ik Multimedia Amplitube 3 (which is the core of Mustang DSP modelling tecnology) and also the equally excellent Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 are a lot better modelling softwares than Roland one.. but for a fully management in real time of them you would have to buy separately all the control hardware accessories ..

on the other hand Roland is the "reference" for futuristic features (i do not care to be able to trigger or modulate an effect by stopping a laser beam or sliding a finger on a touch ribbon , i'm not Jean Michel Jarre but i like his music! ) but most importantly for synth tecnologies..: last guitar synth improvements for example to make guitar synth modules easier to play for a guitar player..

i like enough the instruments (electric/acoustic guitars) modelling from COSM tecnology of Roland.. i don't know if Line6 Variax guitar system can be better.. i suppose yes , but i didn't have the chance to try it ...
