So I have a 4x12 Kustom cabinet wich is rated:
120 watt RMS / 240 watt peak
4 ohm minimum load

And I am wondering if it would be ok to use with my new Fender mustang V head wich is rated 150 watt and has 2 stereo output rated at 8 ohm and 75 watt each... also does it matter if I plug the left or right output to the single input in the cab?

Good morning, as far as impedance goes it presents the amp with a higher sink current than designed for but really only becomes a problem If you crank the amp up(like over revving an engine).

If this is to be a permanent solution then maybe If you're able, attempt to rewire the speakers to a suitable load for both amp outputs ie;- (chances are that you have 4 16ohm speakers wired in parallel). Rewire them as two series pairs running parallel .

................................... in [-----SPk1 -16----]
source from amp left ...................................... =8 ohms
............................. .....in [-----SPk2 -16----]

................................... in [-----SPk3 -16----]
source from amp right.................................... =8 ohms
................................... in [-----SPk4 -16----]

This link below shows possible ways your speakers are wired.

As the mustang V has twin outputs you could add an extra speaker connector to the cab splitting the impedance which would then present 2x8ohm loads!. first though we need to see how it's wired (series /parallel )and then I can give you a diagram! Hope this helps.

No, either will work fine - but you'll only get mono sound. If you want to make use of the stereo effects in the Mustang, you'll need two separate speaker cabinets - or as proguitartrax suggests, rewire your existing cabinet to provide two completely separate circuits, one for each channel.

For completeness, hat's the impedance of each speaker in your cab? That is, each speaker individually, not the overall impedance of the cab as currently wired. I'm guessing it's likely 16 ohms - it should be written/stamped/printed on the back of each speaker somewhere.
