Just purchased a new Mustang floor version 1.1 and downloaded Fuse 2.7 on a windows 8 desktop. The computer shows the mustang as a connected device but fuse shows "No Amplifier Connected"

fuse 2.7 on windows seems to be causing that to many users of different amp models.
Give 2.6 version a try, you may find it here:

Uninstalled version 2.7 and downloaded v2.6. made no difference. Fuse still shows no amp connected tho the computer recognizes it.

Forgot to mention: uninstall fuse, uninstall silverlight, and delete the documents/fender folder, then install version 2.6

Apparently the silverlight bundled version that comes with 2.7 causes a lot of trouble, many people reported it works after doing this.

Still a no go on the amp connecting. I'm starting to get a little discouraged about the whole fender fuse thing. If it wasn't for the ability to backup presets I probably would have given up. Rather disappointing.

It looks like people having connectivity problems with newer fuse are legion with both 2. and 2.6.1. This guy seems to have found a solution apparently:

Frankly I never use Fuse software as it is a hackjob anyway, in big part tyhanks to Silverlight layer from Microsoft. Possibly the most important reason to buy a Mustang 3-4-5 instead of a more Fuse dependent M1-2.

Thank you for the assistance. I don't know if I will pursue this any further or not. I think I'll just enjoy the unit as it is without Fuse for a while instead of spending all my time getting frustrated installing and uninstalling different versions of the software.
Again thank you for the assistance.

Installed 2.7 on the wife's laptop running Vista and every thing works fine so far. I'm beginning to suspect the driver, for whatever reason is not working well with my Windows 8 machine even tho the unit shows up as a device in the computer.

I tried to re-install 2.7 on my desk top running windows 8 and I noticed at no time did it ask me what amp I am using like it did when I installed it on the laptop running Vista.
