Howdy all

Just returned to playing guitar after a number of years with out one. To celebrate I bought some new gear, including a Mustang I v2 amp. I am still working my way through the manuals and messing around with it trying to figure this thing out (drastically different than anything I had in the past!)

But one thing has me really confused. I find no simple way to easily switch from 1 specific preset to a second (say a clean to a distorted) and back with out having to scroll through presets or take both hands off and use the computer interface.

I know there is a single button footswitch available, can this do what I want?

Will the big 4 button switch that comes with the larger models work with the Mustang 1?

Sorry if this is common knowledge but am still learning this amp's ins and outs!

Hey Jack
The M1 & M2 has the single footswitch option for quick access toggling q1/q2. (sold separately)

Edit: The M1 page didn't mention the footswitch being an option. The accessories page does mention the M1 though. My apologies for the sleight misinformation.

There seems to be one available that says M1 (I just found this) http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... ootswitch/

And it sounds like it will do what I am looking for. So my next question is, would one with more switches work also or are they programmed only to work with the III and above?

you are right that the 1 switch pedal will do what you want with the M1/M2

The 2 and 4 switch pedals will only work with M3/4/5

Thanks for confirming! I think I may end up getting a 4 or 5 in a year or so after I move and have more space and more ability to go loud. Right now I have to go to headphones probably 80+% of the time because of apartment walls....
