If you care to READ, the first top switch to the left, it has "MODE" written on it, plus two LEDs, one red, the other green. Tap on it.

Green light=Preset mode. Meaning you can use the bank/select switches to change presets.

Red light= the different bottom switches will turn on/off the different effects assigned to the chosen preset.

You just can't change presets in efx on-off mode.

HTH,

Of course not! The preset switch changes the preset, the bank switch changes the bank where the preset is located.

Do you get the concept now?

Hi Katofire,

in preset selection mode (green light on the fx/preset led), if you press the two buttons to the right of the preset/fx mode button (upward and downward triangles) you should see on the screen a message indicating the preset bank changing. If you don't you have a wardware problem with the MFloor

I don't think it's been pointed out yet, but after you press the Bank Up/Down switches then you also have to press a preset switch to choose a preset in the new bank.

What does the LCD screen show? Or are you saying it's blank? Do you get any sound if you play your guitar through the M-Floor? (obviously plugged into an amp, and with all volume/level controls turned up appropriately)

Well, one thing to check, if the unit seems completely dead, is whether the power supply is working - both whether you're getting power from the wall socket, and whether the transformer is delivering power to the M-Floor.

But whether it's just the LCD screen, or the whole unit, or the power supply that's faulty, the obvious thing to do is take it back to the store and ask them to exchange it for a working one. Might be worth getting them to open the box of the next one while you're still in the shop and test that it's fully working.

Actually the unit is working but the LCD screen doesnt show any presets . Its only a backlight, a blank lighted LCD screen.

Then I'd suggest your best course of action is to return it to the vendor and ask them to exchange it for a working one. I'm not aware of any "diy" repairs you could do on a faulty LCD screen.

I'd like to ride on this thread to ask a question. My expression pedal is not pushing the switch down far enough to change modes. Is there an adjustment to the pedal or is it possible to raise the switch a little to achieve full contact. The switch works because I can reach under the pedal and switch it. Don

I'll ride the thread, too, as long as we're talking about the Floor. It's about something I've long wondered about and cannot find any mention of it in available documentation.

Of course, I get that there are five presets per bank, but why are there two numbers per button implying that there are possibly *ten* presets (per bank) somehow available? Maybe I'm missing something, but the buttons read 0•5, 1•6, 2•7, 3•8, and 4•9. Are we supposed to be able to switch from a 2nd patch to, say an 8th within a bank?

As far as I can tell, the second number is irrelevant, maybe only printed there for possible future upgrade use, but I dunno. I've asked several sales guys in a couple of stores, and nobody seems to know. Hmm.

Whatever, the Floor sounds great, and sure, I'll just use it as banks of five presets, but still...

No big deal at all, just wondering. TIA. :)

The second number does not do much, and is confusing, but I think is just supposed to make it easier to navigate once you are used to it.

When you turn the floor on you have five presets: 00, 01, 02, 03. and 04.

Then if you go up one bank of presets you have: 05, 06, 07. 08 and 09.

So, the preset in switch 1 will always end in a 0 or a 5. The preset in switch 2 will always end in a 1 or 6; Switch 3 will always have presets ending in 2 or 7, and so on.

At least that's my best guess...

(Still takes two steps to get from 01 to 06 (step on up bank and then on the second switch to go from preset 01 to preset 06.
