So on the MIII (and VI and V for that matter) I love the controls on the LCD screen with the buttons and the knob which are very intuitive, I like editing the settings from the amp without using a computer, even though the FUSE software is great too.

Now for what I'm understanding there's a couple of things you can only edit through the FUSE software:
- Bright switch on the 65 Twin and British 60s
- Effect pedal order
- 6th knob on some delay effects
- Finetuning of the Noise Gate

So the last point isn't really much of a problem, but I'd really like to see the bright switch being controllable by for instance the same way you can control bass/mid with the I/II, like holding down the exit button and moving a knob. Right now I just made two completely extra presets "British 60s Bright" and "65Twin Bright" with use of the software which works, but it's a real hassle to copy all of the settings when I want to A/B them for hearing a distinct difference.
I suppose the effect pedal order is too hard to implement on the simple screen, but the 6th knob on some delay effects could just be shown by having six pots on the screen to cycle through instead of five when you are editing your delay effect. Right now there no way I know of to edit the brightness of the stereo tape delay for instance.

So, in short, I'd like to see the bright switch and possibly the 6th knob on some delay pedals controllable through the amp itsself without the software :)

Please tell me if I said anything wrong and I'd like to hear other opinions on this

I know you said adjusting the USB gain isn't really a problem for you, but for completeness you can do this on the amp. Hold down the EXIT button while turning the Volume knob. (Yes, intuitive isn't it...)

As for the main point of your topic - yes I agree, it would be nice for these things (and some others) to all be editable on the amp, rather than needing FUSE.

Agree! Access to the"bright switch" via the amps display would be very handy as I've found out when setting up all my patches "offline" and no where near a PC! lol :)

Thanks, that's good to know! If anyone else knows more hidden controls, I'd like to hear them.

Anyway, I hope the same kind of thing can be implemented for the bright switch on the 65twin and the british 60s amps by holding down exit and moving the treble button (after all, brightness and treble are of course related :)) for mustang 3-5. For intance, decreasing treble (by any amount) while holding down exit turns the bright switch off and increasing turns it on. I think that would be a good option for mustang 3-5, since holding down exit and moving the treble knob does absolutely nothing at the moment for mustang 3-5 ever since there has been an update for mustang 1-2 which lets you adjust bass/middle by holding down exit and adjusting treble.

So back to adjusting the USB gain with exit+volume... I suppose there isn't any place where stuff like this is documented I suppose, right? This is such a great amp with tons of hidden features, but if we really want to know all of the fancy features we gotta do our own research on the forums, am I right?

Nightwing, It is wierd that this is the place for answers. It seems like every week I learn someting new about settings on this amp. I have the m3 v1 and loveing it so far. I've been giging with it for about 3mo. now and it just keeps getting better sounding. I wonder what else is hidden in the control funtions. peace

Why don't you wanna use FUSE?

The easiest way to program great sounds or try other people's presets.
