I haven't been able to find a definitive answer. Has anyone here set up such a thing? can you choose the pitch range?

like in the first few seconds of this video:

that is not a whamyy effect, is a simple pitch shifter, and yes you can do that with the floor pitch shifter effect varying the pitch with your pedal

Seems like using the built in pitch shifter along with the pedal to change pitch pretty much makes it a whammy effect.

Yep. I own a DigiTech pedal that does a whammy effect. It sounds like C3PO talking inside a can of peaches. Terrible and digital. Nothing to do with the mustang pitch shifter. It sounds more like a vocoder to me and changes pitch in discrete jumps that make it sound like techno music. yuck.

Thanks. To clarify you're saying the mustang floor shifts pitch in discrete amounts? The v2 Ddemos sounded better than that.

nope. I'm saying exactly the contrary. The floor and the V2 with exp pedal allow you to control pitch chifting in a continuous fashion, exactly as you see on the Video. In fact what they did on V2 is to copy this feature from the floor.

Digitech, owner of the Whammy trademark does something different, it is like some sort of harmonizer but with variable pitch shifting, that sometimes jumps from note to note making a horrible effect IMO. Listen at the 3 minute mark on this video for an idea of this abomination.

Hello everyone. I own a mustang floor and i can't do the kind of effect as in the mustang V2 video from the OP.... the problem is that even using exp pedal for pitch shifting, i still hear the "original" note from the guitar...

What i need to do is being able to go 1 octave higher without hearing the original note... is that possible? please PLEASE help me :(

no you can not, the pitch shiter (on the MF at least) does not have a dry/wet mix control, you alays get the original note plus some amount of the pitch shifted note.

Possibly you make reference to thenew harmonizer on the V2. I have no experience with tha so somebody else will need to comment if it is able to do what you mention, but it is not part of the floor capabilities for sure
