Been rehearsing & gigging (5+times a week) with MF since Nov 2012. No probs.

Today at rehearsal I turned on my MF & it wont select any presets. Tap/Tuner blinks.

Did Firmware 1.411 upgrade again. Still not working.

Powered Up with "Pedal" button down. Diagnostic windows says "Midi: Fail."

Any ideas?

Looks look I'm going back to analog gear.

After talking with TSL. They said to take my MF to Authorized repair shop.

It's there now.

The "wait" begins.

Got MF back today. The DSP board was replaced.

Restored my "settings backup" & all is well.

Plan on purchasing 2nd MF for live gigs using both in A/B config for backup "redundancy."

Shop repaired by replacing DSP board last April.

Worked till 8/15. In the shop again for repair. Same error.

I purchased a 2nd MF in April for "redundancy" came in handy.

Going back to Blues Jrs & analog pedals for now.

Hello everybody!
I´m new on this board and hope you can help. Same error occurred with one of my two MFs the other day. Self diagnostic read Midi:fail.
Fender Germany was unable to give any advice except asking right here.
Can anybody tell me about a Fender service point in Germany that I might contact?
Thanx in advance!

These type of too-little-too-late comments from Fender that pop up here are outrageously lame. Seriously.

sometimes it's a matter of knowing which doors to knock on, Her Wanna. Lets see what the Fender website tells me if I go looking for support.....

Problem Description

How do I contact Fender Consumer Relations? Can I talk to someone in Fender's Tech Support department regarding my guitar and/or amplifier?

Solution

Contact Information

Our Consumer Relations Department exists as a service to anyone interested in any FMIC product. You may reach the FMIC Consumer Relations Department by mail at:

Guitar and Amplifier Technical Support

Fender Consumer Relations department representatives can assist you with most technical questions about guitars or basses. It's almost impossible, however, to diagnose a complex technical issue by phone. To expedite a resolution to your problem, Fender representatives may refer you to a certified technician at a Fender Authorized Service Center in your area.

Regarding technical support for amps, Fender is very limited in what it can discuss with consumers because of liability issues and the complex nature of amplifier electronics. As Fender amplifier products typically aren't user-serviceable, representatives may refer you to a certified techician at a Fender Authorized Service Center in your area for assistance.

Nor can Fender advise consumers on guitar, bass and amplifier modifications, as these void the warranty that instruments and amps come with. Please contact an independent repair facility or aftermarket parts dealers for assistance and information.

Fender.com Lounge Forums Help

Have a question about your Lounge Forums username or password? Or ... is your question about the Fender.com Lounge Forums or some other feature of the Fender.com Community area?

We would ask that you please NOT contact Consumer Relations for any issues regarding your username, password, Fender Profile, the Fender.com Lounge Forums, nor any other concerns regarding the Community section of Fender.com.

FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY (for example, if you are experiencing repeated difficulty logging in), please contact ForumAdmin@fender.com if your question concerns any of the issues above.
