I've been screwing around, unsuccessfully, for two months trying to use existing posts to figure out how to use the foot switch. Can someone give me a step by step instruction to do the following:
I want to have the first Quick Access give me # 93 Basic '65 Twin right from when I turn the amp on.
Then I want the second Quick Access to give me #05 Country Deluxe when I use the "up" foot pedal switch.

I have #93 showing as my first Quick Access but when I turn the amp on I'm right back to #01 and going up with the foot pedal gives me #02, not #93.

If this is possible, please let me know STEP BY STEP. If not possible, let me know so I'll stop thinking about throwing the amp out the window.
Peace.

I could be mistaken, but it sounds like you want the '65 Twin as your default on power up sound. To do this, you need to save that preset to 00, which is the default position for the amp. This assumes, of course, that you own a III IV or V.

You could also save that second sound to preset 01. If you can't figure out the quick access thang, you'll at least have your preferred sounds right at your toe tips.

I haven't even bothered to connect my foot switch yet, so I can't help you with that. Just trying to save your blood pressure- and window glass til you do get it the way you want! There's nothing quite as frightening as an old timer tearing his hair out and screaming "YAAAAAHHHH" at the top of his lungs...

While on the preset that you want when you power on, push the save button on top of the amp. After that use the dial to go to preset 00, then push save again. This should put that preset at 00 and will be the preset that you get when you turn on the amp. Now go to preset #05 Country Deluxe and press save again. Use the dial to select preset 01. Press save again. Now you should be set. You can press your two button switch to go between the two presets either up and down or QA1/QA2, if that is how you have the switch set in the utility menu.

Hi tonylolli,

before you destroy your amp, try this, I think it will soulve your problem:

-power up amp
-push the util button 4 times until you get to the screen named "2-btn ftsw mode"
-move the selection whell until you see the following "QA1/QA2"
-press the exit button
-rock on

Who says you have to be smarter than the equipment. All you need is for someone to explain it in English.

Thank you gents. You've made an old man happy. Not as happy, mind you, as a "mature" woman might but happy nonetheless. Now I can "blues on" knowing I can add to my presets at will. What a country!!! Life is good.
Peace, out.
