Hi folks - I have been reading various posts on the v2 and seen one happy user who says that the fizz has gone. But in view of the sheer volume of posts/complaints on the Mustang Mk1's, I want to be sure before I think of buying one.

So, are there any users here who've had a Mk1, & now have a Mk2 and can definitely confirm the fizz is gone? (I believe the v1 Mustangs had the fizz on the M3/4/5 variants, not the Mustang 1/2's)

Cheers guys

Rich

All V.2 reports so far confirm zero fizz. And possibly better audio performance all-around, but that is not certain yet since that's highly subjective.

Sure is ridiculous that the consumers have to do all this work themselves, and that Fender can't just come out and tell us they fixed the fizz!

Agreed - I've sent an E-mail to Fender UK asking for their confirmation, but I'm not too hopeful of getting a sensible response. I suspect they've likely been briefed not to admit anything on the basis that confirming a fix means they'd be admitting there was a problem TO fix in the first place, thus potentially leaving themselves open for a rush of complaints and requests for exchanges!

But if we should get confirmation, I've arranged with my old mate BB King and his girl Lucille to do a special version of 'The thrill is gone' for us retitled 'The fizz is gone'.

Cheers guys

Rich

My 2 cents: I just purchased a Mustang III V2 last week. I've have been playing with a lot of "clean" settings for different amp models. I have NOT had any problems with the fizz issue...

... and I researched the issue at length before buying this amp so I knew what I was looking for. I waited for the V2 before purchasing just to be sure I had a good chance of avoiding the issue.

So far this thing just rocks... I love this amp.

I can also confirm that the fizz on the MIII v2 has been fixed (unless it kicks in later on). It seems like the models have a little more depth, too. I might be imagining it, but to my ears, they sound more realistic.

I'm still trying to figure out the compressor. Is it a stomp / is it in the amp settings? I see on the amp that it's a stomp, but in Fuse it's in the amp settings.

i don't have yet my M3 V.2 so i can't try Fender Fuse with it ..
are you saying there are in advanced parameters some addictional knobs for a compressor effect? perhaps they are simply the usual noise gate parameters knobs..

OK, this has been straightened out. I just verified that the Mustang III version 2 acts the same way as the version 1 with the compressor. Its a stomp, not part of the advanced amp settings. There is a new clean boost in the version 2 stomp though!
