I just hooked up my berhinger UCA202 USB audio interface so i can do some multi-track recording and to also put audio backing tracks into Studio One DAW from Presonus,i am also using the fender mustang ASIO USB driver to record from my mustang I via USB connection into my computer but i also have the ASIO4All drivers installed because the behringer ASIO driver did not work that good without also having the ASIO4All drivers working together with the behringer drivers.

I was having problems trying to record the audio from my mustang I using only the fender ASIO driver because the ASIO4All drivers and also the ASIO behringer driver would not allow me to hear my audio backing track or drum patterns i had recorded on track 1 in studio one and also track 2 i was trying to record from my mustang amp using the mustang audio ASIO driver at the same time,i know i have a driver conflict problem because i have two versions of ASIO4All that shows up in my task bar in windows XP,version (2.10F) and version (V2.11) show up at the same time,i uninstalled the older version but it still shows up in my task bar along with the newer ASIO version (2.11)?

I did get lucky one time when i selected the mustang ASIO driver for the audio device setting and only one version of ASIO4All showed up in my task bar,i then could hear my audio recorded on track 1 and also the audio i recorded on track 2 from my mustang amp without any problems and i now could hear both of the recorded audio tracks!

Can anyone give me some advice on the correct way to setup my mustang ASIO and ASIO4All drivers to work with each other without driver conflict problems?

I only use asio4all (latest version) for the mustang amp as input and the PC line-out as output, and from the line-out I go to the mixer using a standard unbalanced connection.

Then from the mixer you can go either back to the mustanf as fx-return or a powered amp of your choice.

another setup (that requires that your USB mixer to be bidirectionnal recording/playback at the same time) would be:

mustang fx-send - USB-mixer-unbalanced-in - USB-mixer-unbalanced-out - mustang fx-return

then from the usb-mixer USB port connect to the PC

the advantage of this setup is that you can use it either for :
recording from mustang to your pc
to playback from your pc to the mustang (for example backing tracks)
to add signal processing on top of what the mustang is capable of (using amplittube or similar)
use a looper aplication on your PC

and all this without modifing your cabling.

In my cae, for this I use a cheap Digitech RP155 that I have found in a pawn shop that has a bidirectional USB interface (and is possibly the only good thing it has!) but any bidir USB mixer will do
