Hello,
I use a Fender Mustang III with a BOSS ME-70 What patch or configuration should I choose to use only as Mustang III amplifier and use effects pedal without overlay effects (amp + pedal) which gives a dirty sound. Thank you in advance.

I am curious to read answers from folks who are way more experienced than me... but WHY would one run a digital amp/effects modeling floorboard through a digital amp/effects modeling amplifier?

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that the Mustang has NO "tone" of its own... it is running an amp or amp/cab model at all times.

I guess if one were inspired to use an amp modeler with the Mustang, you would either bypass the preamp with the return of the effects loop or you would select the model of a clean amp on a clean setting with no stomps or mods and then run the floor modeler direct in... but I wonder if that would cause digital signal processing overkill.

go to the fender fuse website and download a preset titled EMPTY by username PITA . It's just that an empty preset, no amp models, no effects, and no cabinet simulation, this is exactly what you need to run a multi-fx unit into the front of your mustang amp, it also works well to use with Amplitube on the PC, I Have also found that using the Empty preset works well for recording vocals via USB into your favorite DAW
