:?: Ok so I posted before about the software not communicating with my amp, I never had any problems until 2.7 was released. the only way I was able to get the fuse software to talk to my amp was by connecting it to a USB hub, direct to the computer doesn't work on 2 different computers I have tried, the software will work for about 5 minutes at a time, If I don't finish tweaking my preset the way that I want very fast I end up losing all the work on my preset, it has to be the software, I have tried several different USB cables all with the same result, is anybody else experiencing these problems ? I can't be the only one, I know that my amp is recognized by the computer no problem, recording through USB works perfectly,. It has to be the new version of the Fuse software, or maybe a firmware issue with the Version 1 mustang amps, hope somebody fixes the software or issues a firmware update that will make my amp compatible with the new version of the software,

As I stated in your other thread, the problem only happened to me once and I have spent many hours since with no problems.

As LtKojak implied, your best bet is to contact Fender customer service directly. Communication by this forum or email would be too awkward for an issue like this. The tech would need to ask you many specific questions and give you specific instructions - much would depend on your the type computer your using, the OS and version, other USB devices connected etc.

It's just too in depth to try to solve the problem in the manner your going about it.

Call Fender customer support.

Hi Kreature,

We are happy to assist here. When we are requesting that you contact us directly, this also includes email. The main reason we would like to connect with you directly is that we would like to know your computer specifications such as OS type and version, what computer you use, and we would likely request at least Fender FUSE log files, which should be on your system, even if you are not aware of it.

So, if you have a chance, please send another message and be sure to include your Forum name, real name, computer information, OS and version of OS (operating system), and we will be happy to assist. Your situation sounds fairly specific. We believe that direct support from us may be more effective. Thanks much.

Regards,

I've heard of this. Make sure that there are no buttons(save,tap/tuner ect) are stuck.

By any chance, do you connect to the Internet behind a hardware firewall such as a Cisco firewall or Sonicwall?

no, it's not an internet problem at all, This is a communication error between the software and the amp, I never had any problems with the previous version of the software, none of my hardware configuration has changed, everything is the same except for the program version, this is definitely a glitch within the new version of the software and the version 1 amps, the only thing I haven't done is uninstall reinstall the program, maybe I'll try that next

Thank you for your expert opinion, Kreature, but if a new version of a program uses different ports than an older one, a firewall can cause issues. But it sounds like you already know all about it, so the best of luck to you. My FUSE works just fine on 2 different computers btw...

you don't have to be sarcastic, I appreciate your attempt to help me, but I know that it is not a firewall issue, the problem I am having is that the program will work for a few minutes while I am making changes to my amp, then all of a sudden moving the knobs in Fender Fuse does nothing, I don't have to be online to use Fuse to tweak my amp settings, the only time I login to Fender Fuse is after I have created a preset and wish to share it, I never claimed to be an expert but I do know Windows inside and out, maybe I need to download the program again and reinstall, but I do know for certain that it is not an issue with my internet, I have no problem uploading and downloading the presets, It is creating the presets that is the problem, the software will talk to my amp and then all of a sudden quit, the screen shows the green light and amplifier connected but the amp all of a sudden quits responding to the program, Fuse 2.6 gave me no issues, I have not changed anything on my computer except for updating Fuse,. again I do appreciate your attempt to help, but what you had mentioned is not the problem, there is no need to take it personal that your suggestion wasn't the remedy to my problem,

by the same token, a simple 'no,' would have sufficed. Have a nice night.

maybe so, but you ask me a question and in turn I give a detailed answer. I apologize if this does not meet your expectations of proper conversation etiquette. anyway I figured out the problem., It was the only thing I did not try, I uninstalled Fuse, downloaded it again and reinstalled, problem solved, through the process of elimination I have fixed the problem, thanks again for your replies
