Hi j michael bohn,

Is there a specific issue you are experiencing with Fender FUSE? If so, can you clarify it, so that we might have the opportunity to assist you?

Regards,

well, --- IME there is nothing wrong with using either method.. some of the fuse options are easier to work than manually, especially if you don't have a Mustang with a full LCD display for the UI. like the MUSTANG II,, you just can't get at some of the options.

Yeah, do it manually... then you can back up your presets by hand too.

Just for the files: After 10 days without complaints the new 2.7 Fuse yesterday stopped running on my netbook. Like the former Beta did months ago, same symptoms ("Fuse launcher" crashing). Now I'm counting the days how long it lasts till it quits its job on my Laptop too.

Anyway, I'm used to live without Fuse ... The worst is that one is not able to edit the stomps on M1 and M2. But the Stangs are running fine with a real OD and Wah.

good point...I hear nothing but complaints about Fuse. and having recorded music for 30 years, I never NOT had to tweak a pre-set. playing live and NOT being able to change your Delay and Overdrive ect doesn't work.
just another case of spending more time NOT playing and screwing with tech.
no matter how close you get to your favorite artist sound you will NEVER sound like anybody but you.
there are 2 kinds of players: one's that actually PLAY and ones who talk about playing and waste time buying pedals and messing with anything to keep from practicing.
The fact that the pre-sets on the Mustang 3 are over the top and in no useable order and
the volume from pre-set 1 to pre-set 2 is nuts , proves Fender doesn't care about real musicians.
It's taken me a year but I've finally got it to where it sounds like a tube amp and can control it enough to play in any situation.
this is now my amp for the different bands I play in and recording with. I use IT to "run" my real tube amp and it is great.
this IS the PERFECT amp.
IF you set 3 or 4 pre-sets in a row for your Strat and 3-4 pre-sets in row for your Les Paul and your P-90's.

the ONLY way to do this is to KNOW the amp inside and out.
also there are guys on this forum who really KNOW their stuff.

learn SAG ans BIAS. this is probably the most important aspect to using the amp live and sounding like a real amp.
and use a dB meter to set volumes.
I love this amp, but quit screwing with your computer and PLAY something.

it's so strange how one person has nothing but problems with FUSE and the next has absolutely no issues. I've run FUSE on 4 different computers now (2 PC's and 2 laptops), and it always works for me. I've never even had it crash.

FWIW, I don't use FUSE to put off practicing. I actually work way faster with a mouse and keyboard than the dials on top of the amp and a jog wheel. Maybe at first I was moving a little slow, but now that I'm familiar, everything is quick and easy in FUSE.

Also, regarding the difference in volume on the factory presets, have you ever noticed the volume levels you set at home don't work out when you play with a band? So if you were Fender, would you set those levels for home use or for gigging? Either way they're going to be wrong.

There's nothing wrong with FUSE.

It has worked faultlessly since november 2010 when I got my Mustang II.

It has since updated itself many times, plus I've made several firmware upgrades in my MII, MIII and MFloor.

Did it even blink? No. Never. Not even once. It has worked in WinXP, Win7 and Win 8.

There you have it.

I have had no issues with FUSE running on my iMac (OSX 10.8.2)

I use my Mustang Floor mostly for recording and FUSE is my Floor remote control.
Works great!

It has worked faultlessly for me too... as it is designed to work. I don't have a problem with how it runs on my system. I have a few minor issues with the software design. But yeah, still not enough for me to give up on it completely.

I just wish Fender would spend some of that money they're making on a software package that supports drag n drop cripe's sake.

I agree on that, Fuse never failed on my either (on mac and PC). In the other hand I only use it for uploading presets as the controls are 95% redundant with what I can do in front of the amp (I own M3 and MF), and it takes me longer to do it on the computer.

Fuse should be better on what you can not do on the amp itself, like easily rearrange presets, manage preset collections, adjust volume of several presets at the same time.

I do realize fuse is more necessary for people with M1 and M2.

No problem with fuse for me. When setting the presets for giging, with or without fuse you must bring the volume up to live levels to set it up. This is true of adjusting bias and sag too.
