My fender floor has been acting up. If I let it sit for a few minutes, the volume mysteriously goes way up. Then it returns to normal. I am running straight to PA with 1/4" Left output. I have firmware v.1.4 installed. I also cannot get fuse to recognize the amp, but that's a seperate issue.

I assume you've tried cleaning off the jacks by repeatedly plugging and unplugging the cables.

It could be many things, but to me it sounds like a pot is "scratchy", a common electrical problem, and so is being misread by the firmware, suddenly raising the volume, and after a while being read correctly. It's worth trying working the pots back and forth, like on an analog device, and see if that cures it. Otherwise it sounds like return or warranty repair time.

No Floor unit involved in my case, but my Mustang 3 started suffering the same a few weeks ago.
I experienced sudden "swells" in volume for no apparent reason, but then matters got far worse when the amp started cutting out completely...only for milli-seconds, before "rebooting" itself back to the default preset.
Still under warranty, thankfully....Fender are having to replace the "main board" to rectify.

It turns out my Crate PA has a dirty pot. Master volume too. Now I beed to find a replacement. I also fixed the connection problem by removing the three drivers and letting them reinstall.

Hi Guys,

We will be happy to assist. It seems as if you guys were able to get the issue resolved. I would like to ask about the Fender FUSE issue that technoteacher was seeing. If Fender FUSE is not recognizing your Fender Mustang Floor, we recommend you upgrade to the latest version of Fender FUSE, to see if it helps resolve the issue you are seeing.

You can find the latest version of Fender FUSE here:
