Look around here, does Fender EVER respond to future product questions? No, they don't. Why all the histrionics over a fait accompli??

Then don't post your question in an open forum, send it in an email directly to Fender if you don't want forum members responding to your questions.

a) I didn't post this question - I agreed and reiterated.
b) Quote above taken out of context from my previous paragraph I wrote - I never said I didn't want forum members responding to my questions.
c) Obviously my point was not clear - While we continue to wrestle over comments/theories in this thread, including myself, Fender will continue to not answer the question.

A) If you agreed and reiterated, then you did indeed post this comment.

B) The quote in or out of context implies all forum members should not respond to this type of question "with hypothetical answers such as 'maybe they might', 'probably not', 'you wouldn't think so'" because it "gives Fender forum staff complete room to not have to answer the question at all."

C) What do you expect? The forum moderators are going to go out an a limb and say "Yes, there will be a Mustang Floor v2, watch for it in stores", or "no we're never going to do that"? What if the person posting this question works for Peavey or Line 6? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to just ask your competition what they're going to do next?

SONY: "Hey Nintendo, what's going to be new in you next gaming console?"

NINTENDO: "we're going with a wireless motion sensing controller that looks like a TV remote rather than a game controller"

SONY: "Sounds like a winner, thanks for the idea, lets see who can get them into the stores first"

NINTENDO: "hey, always happy to help my competition!"

Fender and most major musical instrument manufacturers are fanatical about never allowing any mention of upcoming products before a coordinated press rollout. In Fender's case, they go much further in staying mum even on current product features and shortcomings. All you'll get is the formal firmware rev announcements with a bit of release notes attached.

I believe I did not ask the original question which is what was being argued.

I get how selling a product works. All I asked was for an answer, something other than silence - and while Fender make themselves available generally to be asked questions on open forums, they should also commit to answering.

Fender won't even talk about products already released that have been in the market for 3 years. If Fender won't acknowledge that the mustang III-V fizz was a problem, who cares what they do or don't say about upcoming releases? Can you believe them? Fool me once...

Hi leosaya,

I see that you are reporting an issue with Windows 8 and your Fender Mustang Floor. Can you please contact us directly via the included email address. And please be sure to include your Forum name and real name as well as the version of Fender FUSE that you have installed. Also, please include as detailed an explanation as possible along with screen shots or error messages (if possible). We will be happy to assist from there. Thanks very much.

Do you also 'see', Fender, that you have not yet answered the main question in this topic, similarly with many of the other responses in this topic which do not focus on the initial question. Fender: I've seen it quoted before by other users and would like to reiterate, as a customer, even some sort of appropriate response is better than silence.

Forum users: replying to questions such as this which require answers from Fender themselves, with hypothetical answers such as 'maybe they might', 'probably not', 'you wouldn't think so' (or straying off topic) gives Fender forum staff complete room to not have to answer the question at all.

Sorry for the rant, however I am just trying to encourage a more constructive use of this forum (and yes, because I am going to go crazy if I buy a V1 and a V2 subsequently is released :? ).

Hey Andyroo... same advice I gave Pepe! The MF is $199 minus coupons or sales! It is dirt cheap! Just get one and enjoy it!

Again, if they do release a V2 it is going to cost a helluva lot more than $199... and if you really want the upgrade you will have no problem selling your MF V1 secondhand and you will only lose $20-$40 bucks max if you keep it in good shape!

Thanks Tiger,

Yeah, I have decided to bight the bullet and purchase.

You might be interested to know that I am in Australia and would you believe that the cheapest price in this country I have found it for is still~AU$340!!! (rrp AU$499). Also, without the luxury of coupons.

Relative to what you guys get it for - highway robbery.

Don't know how the exchange rate is between US and Aussie dollars... but ouch! Could you buy off Ebay or from a US Fender dealer that ships overseas and come out ahead after shipping? In the US, there is currently a $300 price difference between a new Mustang Floor and a new Line 6 POD HD500... is that about the same in Australia?

If you do get a Mustang Floor... I seriously doubt you will ever regret it! Enjoy!

The aussie dollar is ~3 cents in my favour so that will have nothing to do with it - crazy isn't it! Yes, the difference between Floor and Line 6 in AU is about $300.

So the MF is still a great value compared to competition floorboards in Australia.
