Thought I would start a discussion for Mustang Floor users about what amps and/or PAs they are running their MFs through.

I am currently running mine through an Atomic Reactor 112 18-watt "slave" tube amp. But I am GASing for a 212 amp that would sound really good with the MF... either tube or solid state. I am partial to Fenders (of course) but am open minded.

So what are y'all running yours through and how do you like it?

I originally bought an Acoustic B20 SS bass amp to use with my Floor. It is a very good combination, but I missed the tube amp sound qualities. I found a design for a Tweed TwinTone Paraphase PP amp on the PPwatt.com forum. I built the 6K6 version which I use with a cross firing dual 10" open back cab.

Here are the schematics for three power tube versions. Mine has the great Fender style cleans, with any processed sounds coming from the Floor.

Here is a picture of the amp cabinet under construction. I like the Floor off the ground at a convenient height. I'm getting too old to work with it on the floor.

I'm very happy with this setup.

I use a couple of Behringer B210Ds.

They do their job faultlessly and then some.

Fender Floor into a Mackie Thump 12 with the Left XLR and straight to P.A. snake on right XLR. Global settings on Floor are set to "Mono" with 50% Bass and 50% Treble and output volume at around 25%. Works awesome for me. I have been REALLY impressed with the sound quality of the Mustang Floor and have been getting a lot of complements on my tones. Most of the time folks can't believe that the tones are coming from just a floorboard. I am enjoying the Floor WAAAY more than my Line 6 stuff!

Running the 1/4" output to a Tech 21 Power Engine - a great piece of equipment for floorboards and rackmount preamps. Love it. Also running the XLR out direct to PA. I play in a church band. Just a couple weeks ago they moved me closer to the choir and were concerned about my guitar sound bleeding into the choir mics, so I've been experimenting with leaving the Power Engine at home and just going direct. We use the Aviom personal mixer system, so for these last couple weeks, I've just been hearing myself through the headphones. Seems strange to me, but it works OK.

I'm running mine through a Super Sonic 22 using the line in. Too much noice direct in. I'm still testing all the 100 presets and am finding a lot more tone in the litte SS 22.

I am running my Mustang Floor through a Rane Dual 15 Band EQ, QSC GX5 Power amp into a 2 x12 with two 16ohm Texas Heats. It wails pretty good. I also use the same setup as a boost for my tube amps. I use the right channel out on my Zoom G5 to the rack rig and the left is in the effects loop of whichever tube amp I am using. It really does a nice rotary cab effect and the stereo reverb and delay stuff is pretty nice as well...

Majorbytes and those of you who are running to twin amps/speakers, I am curious... how are you setting things in the Utilities menu? I traded my Atomic Reactor for a gorgeous Hughes red knob era Fender Power Chorus with a stereo effects loop. Have set my Floor to Stereo and Combo Amp running the left and right unbalanced lines out to the return on the amps effects loop with a twin mono to single stereo Y audio cable. WOW! The rig sounds simply amazing!

This is my first post but I have been lurking here for months. I have finally finished (except for maybe an eq pedal) with my new Fender Mustang Floor Rig. My two main guitars are a modded 2000 MIM FSR Strat that has been completely upgraded to American Standard components (two Texas Specials and one Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge possition) and a 2010 Agile AL-3100 (a very nice LP style guitar). I Have my MF mounted with velcro (after removing the rubber feet) in my SKB PS-45 pedalboard with a BBE Sonic Stomp, Boss AC-2 and Boss CS-3 in the effects loop of the MF. I will be going direct into the PA for most applications but have purchased an Alto TS110a powered speaker (300 watts RMS/600 watts peak) to have on stage for me to have control over the "monitor" level of my guitar. I played the full set up at high volume levels for the first time last night at rehearsal and am COMPLETELY AMAZED at how awesome my new rig sounds (especially at high volume levels). Previously I just went into the PA at rehearsal and it sounded very good, but having the FRFR powered speaker behind me (like a real amp would be) and at high volume was a pleasant surprise. It now "feels" like a "real amp" as opposed to a pedal chain into a PA (if you can get my drift). It was like walking a large breed of dog. You have to stay in control and when you are in control you still feel like it can drag you down the street at its whim. There was a monster behind me and I could feel it there but I was in control and when I want to let it out from under the bed I can. Or maybe a horse analogy is better. I feel like I have a "bronco" under me but I have to keep a tight hold on the reigns or it can get out of control, but if you can hold on you are in for quite a ride. Maybe I am being a little corny, but that's how it felt. I am soooooooo happy with my tone at the moment but am still contemplating adding an EQ in my fx loop for minor tweaking due to which guitar I am using or which pick-up or what the characteristics are of the particular room in which I am playing. I LOVE MY MF THRU THE ALTO TS110a.
