Just got my Mustang III V2 and discovered there were no discs in the box. I contacted the shop who said...

"I’ve spoken to Fender UK about your missing software from inside your mustang packaging. Unfortunately, they’ve told me that they stopped putting the software discs in the boxes as the software was soon updated after launching the original mustang line. So instead of re-printing new discs of the updated software, Fender decided to make it available online. This means that I won’t be able to send you any physical discs, but everything you need will be available here: https://fuse.fender.com/ "

As far as far as I can see there is no download for Amplitube or Ableton on the Fender site. Help anybody???

Thanks for the info, I really liked the MIII I had, but because of the buzz,,, was able to return NSA. Damn, Really hate waiting on something. Would you do me a favor(and everyone else). Go to one of the 90 presets for Blackface deluxe, Princeton, And just play clean, are you hearing any kind of after tones, buzzes any noises what so ever? Those were the models I had an issue with, And yes I have the normal 60 cycle hum when using Single coils, But hope you have a few guitars to test with. I had a very slight buzz on the Princeton, 65 Deluxe,, so If you can sit right up on it, Like right in your face! I had Master about 2-3 and everything else was not touched, but I added either before or after amp, a 65 reverb. I appreciate the help here, because that was the reason for my returning the amp I had. Using TV Jones Classics on a Grestch was not very pretty, But if you can confirm. This waiting kills me and my expectations are wavy, You Know? Anyway Thanks for the help, and I am very glad I was able to help you! Thanks a Million,,,,, Mark K

My Mustang III v2 was delivered today and does not contain any form of software discs either so it looks like they definitely have opted for online downloads.

Thanks for clarifying that Sneeks.

Hi Mark.
The first thing I did when I got the amp was to check for the dreaded fizz.
I have tried several guitars both single coils and humbuckers through the clean amps with absolutely no fizz whatsoever :D
Hopefully this bodes well for all V2s
Cheers
Mo

Cool to know. I am sure they addressed that issue, and have confidence that I should be good when I eventually get my amp. Thanks for the help. Mark

Back when I bought my New MIII V1, it was already like that. I like the download option better. You would not belive how I made a mess of the apt. trying to find the disks I lost!!!

I didn't specifically ask them (because I knew), but other guys who have called Fender were told that they addressed the fizz issue with V.2. "Low noise power supply platform". Though fizz is not an issue with my V.1 MIII and I love the cool carbon fiber upholstery. I'd hate to lose that.

People looking to buy the new V2s might want to see what happens with the loop effects issue we are discussing in a different thread. The effects loop was a major feature of the M3-4-5 and a major factor for many customers upgrading from M1-2 to M3-4-5 it would be a pity if the effects loop becomes less useful as it seems to be the case.

It's not all clear the V.2 sounds better. Sometimes chip revs are MORE limited than the one they're replacing. The new models don't sound like much, probably overlaps with what we've already got. And I don't need any of the new EFX. But if I'm a guy with a badly fizzing V.1, I'm nothing but pissed off.
