Post subject: Floor: Cannot download presets, keep getting logged out.

I've got a Fender Floor and had been using the Fuse software without incident. The last couple of days I have been unable to download presets and keep getting logged out.

I still have two weeks left and will return the Floor if this issue isn't resolved.

The software has been upgraded to version 2.7.0.

1. Why do I keep getting logged out of the Fuse software community?
2. When actually logged in, why can't I download the presets even when the download button is lit dark blue?

When the Fuse is connected to the computer I log in successfully. While logged in successfully with the effects page displayed, I click on the "community" button on the bottom and get transferred to Fender's online domain within Fuse but I must log in again to download or participate. When I log in it almost immediately logs me out. This is unacceptable and didn't happen the first couple of weeks I owned the Floor.

I have to log in between preset downloads and even then when I click on the download button nothing happens. No download, nothing.

Then when I log in and try and download a preset I'm somehow logged out and the preset download button is grayed out. (Light blue actually, but unavailable nontheless.)

The Fuse software won't keep me logged in. When I connect it to the computer via usb and log in on the effects\amp screen it logs me in, but when I click the "community" button I have to log in again. This was not the case when I purchased the amp two weeks ago.

IF THERE'S NO FIX THEN I'M TAKING MY FENDER MUSTANG AMPLIFIER BACK AND BUYING ANOTHER BRAND.

Fender has just redesigned it's "Community" portal that hosts the presets and bandtracks to make accommodations for the new V2 Mustang amps and launched it yesterday.

There are bound to be a few hiccups before things operate smoothly and I am sure the web administrators are working to iron out the glitchs.

It is your prerogative to return the Floor if you wish but making threats isn't going to get you anywhere. I'm sure that a Fender rep would be glad to help you, but remember - it's a weekend day. Maybe you should call Fender customer Service directly if your that impatient.

Maybe there should have been an announcement to this effect somewhere when a Fuse user logs in? Maybe there was but I missed it.

The purpose of a corporation, at least those like Fender, is to make money for itself or its share holders. That I expect a product and its accompanying software to work and will consider another product if it doesn't can hardly be considered a threat. It's just business.

I work hard for what I have and won't get stuck with something that doesn't work properly if I can help it. In this instance I can help it if there's not some information regarding this issue forthcoming.

It began prior to the update. I updated thinking there was a problem with the version I was using which I believe was 2.6. Had no knowledge that the online Fuse website has\had been redesigned.

So to recap: I CAN LOG IN ON THE AMP\EFFECTS PAGE BUT HAVE TO LOG IN AGAIN ON THE COMMUNITY PAGE. AND THEN WHEN I ATTEMPT TO DOWNLOAD A PRESET I AM LOGGED OUT AND CANNOT DOWNLOAD THE PRESET EVEN IF I LOG IN AGAIN.

Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Here are screenshots of the issues I'm experiencing with Fuse and my account thereon.

I always get this message when I try and log in using Fuse software.

Logged in and on the amp\effects page. Currently Floor not connected, but am logged in.

Screenshot showing my being logged into Fuse software but not logged in to the community area where I can download presets. As soon as I attempt to download I get logged out and the preset download button is grayed out.

Now if someone from Fender or elsewhere can shed some light onto the issues I'm having it would be greatly appreciated.

I uninstalled the entire Fuse program and am downloading the latest version again. I will reboot the computer and reinstall Fuse and see what happens. If it continues to fail, I'll just download presets via the web browser. Would much prefer it worked through Fuse and in conjunction with the Floor.

Will let you know what happens after the reinstall.

By the way, computer and network service and repair are what I do for a living so I'm very computer literate.

Re-installation didn't help any. This seems to be an issue on the Fender server side of things.

It worked just fine a couple of days ago. Clearly something has changed on the server side that has some users messed up.

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
Intel Quad core CPU with 8gb memory.
Asus Xonar Essense STX audiophile sound card
etc.

try reinstalling silverlight (and then FUSE again) if you're bored. You might also want to call Fender Customer Service rather than waiting for a forum response

Hi CS,

We will be happy to assist. Thank you for posting those screen shots for us. We are currently performing maintenance on the Fender FUSE Community site, so it is possible that you might have seen some connectivity issues. This should be resolved over the weekend, and we also want to make sure that you perform the following steps.

1. Reset IE
2. Download the latest version of Fender FUSE (https://fuse.fender.com)
3. Delete the Silverlight OOB folder. (see instructions below).

Deleting Silverlight folder: Press your start button (bottom left corner) to access the search box. In the search box, type: %LOCALAPPDATA% and press enter. Once you see the search results, click to open the Microsoft folder. Once inside , locate and click the Silverlight folder. Once here, locate and delete the OutOfBrowser. Once this is done, try relaunching the Fender FUSE folder. If this still doesn't correct the behavior, please feel free to give us a call at the number below and we will be happy to assist further.
