the long awaited FUSE 2.7.0 has slipped unannounced into existence and is available to download from the FUSE support page.

Lack if announcements is all the rage lately. Like not announcing that one needed this update to make the V2 Mustangs work. Or that V2 Mustang and Windows XP might not have a robust relationship. Fizzgate is another announcement issue. A few re-issue issues as well.

Surely Fender are shipping the new version with the V2 amps? I can appreciate your comment on XP; probably still the most widely used OS despite MS attempts to kill it. Its popularity was only reinforced by the disastrous Vista.
My laptop is of a vintage that, while supposedly "designed" for Vista, is far happier running XP.

Surely? If the problems new V2 owners have had, and the solution being this download is any indication, then I'm not so sure. My guess is that in the excitement of seeing how new sales of the V2's went, making sure the software was handled was, er, overlooked. Or timed poorly. Take our pick.

I'm relatively sure that shareholders are more important than customers. The whole purpose of customers is to get the money our of their pockets and into the shareholders.

Just don't tell them that. Shh!

I would find it unbelievable that the new version of FUSE, with its support for the new V2 features would not be shipped with the new version amps!

Just downloaded the new FUSE and Windows had a fit because it hasn't got a valid digital signature. Come on Fender, this is the basics!

By the time a product is released, there are thousands of them boxed up and ready to ship.

Are you saying if you were Fender, you would open all the boxes every time you release a software update? Dell doesn't. HP doesn't. Apple doesn't. So why do we expect Fender to do it?

I installed the new FUSE 2.7.0 on my Win XP sp3 machine this morning (after un-installing the previous beta).

After using it for about an hour, I've had no problems and in fact it seems a bit smoother in operation...

Just thought I would post this for the benefit of other XP users who may hesitate at taking the plunge because of the "**Limited Support" disclaimer.

When the software is meant to run the new features on the new amp, then yes I would.

Having run the new version now, I cannot see any discernable differences from the beta released last year. None of the changes canvassed for by users seem to have been implemented, and quite frankly I am underwhelmed.

Then you should really stay away from this kind of technology altogether because that's not realistic.

Fuse software isn't working properly for my Floor.

Cannot stay logged into to the community.
Cannot download presets because I keep getting logged out when I click on a download preset button.
Numerous script errors when using the community Fuse pages.
File not found error pages on all Fuse presets.
Just one big cluster ....

Running Windows 7 with Fuse 2.7.0 software. Had no problems until day before yesterday. Or maybe yesterday.

Fix it Fender or the Floor goes back to the store.

Much appreciated. I find the current fuse software to be a clunky, buggy POS. However, is is the only way to edit the setting and get the full potential of the amps. I happen to like the amps very much and find them a great value.
