[Edit] I'm withdrawing this as an issue, because I can no longer see any problem.

I love my Mustang III and would like advice about this minor issue:

I find that when using the main selector knob to change between presets, it often jumps too many (or none) depending if you apply pressure, etc. This can be annoying if you accidentally switch from a quiet clean model to a loud distorted model.

So I wonder if the firmware is making it too sensitive - or perhaps there a way to hold it to avoid the problem.

This is a firmware issue, but to some degree almost unavoidable. Have you updated the firmware on the amp? The switch is being read by software. As with any software-based equipment, there is some lag in reacting to control changes. Even hardware designs have some "bounce" in the contacts and can overshoot. If you just move a little slower, it should work better. Move the knob gently and give it a chance to react. Hopefully the next firmware revision will be coded with better "de-bounce" on the switch.

I have the current firmware, ever since upgrading to it when I got the new amp.

Anyhow, I think I'll withdraw the complaint, because in further testing today, the knob seems to work perfectly.
