I have a Shecter Omen 6 and a Fender Mustang 2 and the distortion completely drowns out certain notes for example:in master of puppets completely drowns out the notes here
(in red)

, i need a good distortion preset anything that would sound like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLPfe_I_i_c
Also my wah is $@!&, not in "w" in the "wah" no matter how much gain, and all presets i found sound equally $@!&.
Overall love this amp and fuse but these are big problems to me.

thanks in advance!

it's going to be hard to give specific help without having the same equipment, but a few things to try....

Turn the distortion down
Turn the bass down
Try a different amp model (sometimes the one that doesn't make sense is the one that works)
Turn on the noise gate if you haven't already

Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. If you want to upload your preset to FUSE, I can download it and try it on my Ibanez, but I do have the Mustang III which has a different speaker among other things.

Oh one other thing to try, if your pickups have adjustable pole pieces, try raising the pole under the 'A' string only.

what are you using for distortion? what's built into the amp model (GAIN), a virtual overdrive stomp box through fuse, or a physical stomp box before the amp? Or a combination?

I dont have a pedal yet so its only the built in distortion for me.
BTW the noise gate is on super and bass is on zero, moved tons of other knobs back and forth but the distortion still overpower the notes if you catch my drift.

If you could post what amp, effects, and settings you're using someone might be able to help you fine tune it.

But generally speaking, I agree with strings, you probably just need to turn down the amp gain and/or overdrive gain, and/or boost the mid range (turn down the bass, turn up the mids). Also you might try adding a compressor, and/or turn the sag to the left (in advance amp).

Heavy distortion can be cool, but you can't just turn everything up to 10 and expect it to sound good. Not even with a tube amp. You have to tweak to get the optimal settings.

Assuming you check and it's installed properly, I'd try this:
