Gentlemen!

Why do you silkscreen the lettering on the Mustang panels in light gray instead of white?

I work in dim lighting a lot. Most musicians do. My eyes are not as good as when I was 10 years old. The panel lettering is small, but most hampered by lack of contrast.

Try this: put a Mustang 1 under you desk in a darkened room with artificial lighting above. Try to reach and use the controls! Can't read anything, can you? It should be maximally LEGIBLE, and not muted for some obscure aesthetic reasons.

Can I PLEASE ask you to do that lettering in the most legible brilliant white? It costs nothing and makes these amps more usable.

Thank you,
Fernand

p.s. Ah, yes. another design issue. When you're playing live through a Mustang 1/2, what are you more likely to want to touch up?
1) The type of reverb or tremolo or
2) The level of the reverb or tremolo ?
Of course the level. So why do the MOD and DLY/REV knobs knobs normally program an effect type and only when you also hold down the EXIT key can you set the level?
From a performance ergonomics standpoint, it's backwards, isn't it?
Try holding down the EXIT key on stage sometime as you play, to raise the reverb or maybe drop the tremolo a bit. Your finger slips and you change the whole setup instead.
When programming the amp you have the time and you aren't under stress. It's OK to have to use a modulator key. But when playing you need fast access to the important performance-time controls, and that's the levels. Could you PLEASE consider changing that?
Thank you.

We had that topic two or more times, maybe one year ago. Fender guy said "we hear you, good idea, I pass it along to the responsible people". It was before the time it went a duty to add a "We're happy to assist" to each post of Fender employes. And they still had names (Hi Loren!). But I stop my sarkasm for now, on this day, where finally a new release of Fuse came in the light of public - without anouncement or explanations by the Fender staff ...

I guess for realization of this very sensefull feature you are talking about, you can wait until doomsday

From the pics, it looks like they changed to white, no? Also, notice the MOD and DLY/REV dials have a big white dot on them now.

I vote for V1 to be more clearly arranged! But shining white letters would be a good idea, yes.
The V1 knobs for Mod/Del have a white dot too in reality, don't know why the picture doesn't show them.

If I could choose, I'd take the white text, but with the original v1 font, it just looks easier to read.

Hard to say if it's any whiter. What on earth is the purpose of italics on a front panel? Are they putting us on? To add a certain obliqueness that's no doubt significant, other than making it hard to read? Is it like they're quoting, maybe? Were they told to use a lighter color and make the Tuner thing more legible, so they retaliated by using italics?

What is with these design people? It's like the guys who feel obligated to arrange "Silent Night" with a progression of the most obtuse jazz chords. Does disguising the simplest things makes them feel significant?

And what about having to hold the EXIT button to turn up the reverb or tremolo? Has that ever been addressed here?

As I wrote, yes, we had it, but I cannot find it right now. Wasn't it a suggestion by user Orcatraz?
