How do you cancel presets that are saved through FTSW? The green LED adjacent to the FTSW input remains green for the American '90's green preset and red for the Twin Reverb amber preset when I press the FTSW.

The reason for my problem was that I was altering the presets before I saved them to the FTSW. You cannot do that. They say when all else fails--READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Obviously I failed to do that.

But am dismayed that I cannot alter the presets and save them to my foot pedal. Guess I will have to go to FUSE.

Which Mustang model do you have (Mini, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Floor)? It's not clear (at least not to me) what exactly you'd like to achieve. Can you explain the desired behaviour, then someone will probably be able to suggest either how to do it exactly, or how to get pretty close...

I have the Mustang I practice amp. I was trying to alter the presets with MOD & DLY/REV effects and saving to my amp via the FTSW with the RED and GREEN banks.
I realize you can only save two effects with the one button floor switch but when I alter the presets they will not save. As I said in a previous comment the manual says you can not save altered effects with the FTSW. Am I correct on this point?

I don't have the M1, so might not be understanding properly, but here's what the Advanced manual says about saving presets and assigning to the foot switch:

To program the footswitch:

1. Select a preset that you want to assign to the footswitch. The preset must not be modified (the SAVE button must NOT be illuminated to proceed to step 2).

2. Press the SAVE button. The SAVE and EXIT buttons should be flashing rapidly. You can press EXIT at this point to cancel the footswitch assignment process.

3. Press the footswitch button to select either the red or green LED next to the FTSW jack to associate with the chosen preset.

4. Press the SAVE button to confirm the footswitch assignment. Now when you press the footswitch, the chosen preset will be activated with the assigned red or green footswitch indicator.
