Hello,

I've done numerous searches, however nothing I have found has been able to fix this problem I am having.

I recently purchased a Mustang 1 amp, however when I try to connect it to my Macbook running 10.5.8, it won't recognize the amp. I have removed then reinstalled the FUSE software 4 times, repaired my disk permissions, factory reset the amp and nothing will get it to work.

When I go to my sound settings (or "about this mac" then "more info") I do not see the amp listed as connected. I have tested my USB ports with other devices, and they work fine.

Also, I saw a post that mentioned to look for fender drivers in "System" > "Library" > "Extensions" however each time i've looked, I have not seen any.

I have tried both FUSE 2.6.0.25 and 2.6.1.35 (found in another post) and neither have worked for me. The FUSE program opens fine, but there is no connection with the Mustang 1 amp.

Does anyone know any other tricks I can try? Thank you all for the help.

Hi tpain13,

I would suggest that you go to System Preferences and check to see if the amp is recognized in the Sound Preference pane in the Input tab. If it is not, likely the USB board on the amp is bad and the amp will need to be serviced or replaced. You may also want to try a second USB cable to rule out the possibility of a bad cable. It is a USB standard A to mini B type. If the amp is seen in the Sound Preference pane/Input tab, I would suggest that you contact us and we can walk you through some additional troubleshooting steps. Thanks.

Thank you for your help!

The amp is not recognized in the sound pane. I tried with both the usb cable that was provided as well as another one that I had and got the same (no) results.

Ok, I will give the number a call. I just received the amp for christmas, so hopefully it doesn't need replaced.
