So ive been testing my Mustang 4 with different pedal configurations.

My goal is to have (Mode 2 of the pedal)
Clean
Clean (Boost)
Dirt
Dirt (Boost)

What Ive come to at this time is have settings 1-4 be the 4 positions I need. Only problem is....I have to click 3 times to get dirt (Boost) if im at the Clean sound. My quick fix to that is have setting 00 be the Dirt boost as well...

Ive been thinking and let me know if this is possible
If I used mode 3

Have a clean sound with a boost and a distortion pedal so I just have to Engage the distiortion and or boost? and what would I use for the boost?

Yea I know im thinking way too much but I want to have a easy pedal board with less multiple clicks and easier transitions...

Any other ideas would rock...

JP

Too add...I only will be using the Fender amp with its 4 button foot switch...no external pedals

Here's an alternative idea.

- Put Clean in 00 and CleanBoost in 01
- Also put Clean in 20, 40, 60, 80 and CleanBoost in 21, 41, 61, 81
- Put Dirt in 10, 30, 50, 70, 90
- Put DirtBoost in 11, 31, 51, 71, 91

Now, the 'up' button will go from non-boost to boost; the 'down' button goes the other way; the 'bank' button switches between clean and dirt. That is, a single button-press gets you almost every transition.

If you want to be extreme, you could put Clean in 02, 04, 06, 08, 22, 24, 26, 28, etc; put CleanBoost in 03, 05, 07, 09, 23, 25, 27, 29, etc; put Dirt in 12, 14, 16, etc; put DirtBoost in 13, 15, 17, etc, etc.

Then, whatever preset you have selected, the three buttons will always behave predictably (ie as described above), even if you've accidentally ended up on an unexpected preset.

I realise of course this only works if these four sounds are the only sounds you want!
