Hi guys,

I guess the title really says it all, but allow me to elaborate. I'm still very much a beginner. Got started on the acoustic only 4 months ago and added a Fender Standard Stratocaster and Mustang I amp to the collection 2 weeks ago.

I've just started to learn the 'simple' part of Snow Patrol's Run (just using the Am, Fmaj7, G and C chords, no lead, solo or anything complicated yet) and I'm trying to create a sound that comes somewhat close to the actual song.
Now for these past 2 weeks I've done a lot of experimenting with the Fuse software but I have to admit that 1. I'm a little overwhelmed and 2. my ears and knowledge obviously haven't developed enough yet to hear the subtleties in different sounds.

Would anyone be willing and able to point me in the right direction to get a bit closer to this kind of sound?

Not a single one?

I'm not looking for anyone to create a preset here for me, just some pointers as to what sort of settings might get me closer. Any help would be appreciated.

I am new here and this is my first reply. I know this is old but I'll tell u anyway
Set ur mustang to a British amp like a marshall. If ur strat has singlecoils lower the treble and use a humbucker if u have one. Snow patrol use fender 72 humbuckers (which
I have in my guitar) so if u want put them in (hats what coldplay do). Put on a very
Light creamy overdrive and some compression. They also use a tremolo pedal but
It's not essential. High mid descent bass and lower th treble for singlecoils.
