Now that I got your attention (I hope so, because if I didn't I do not know what else to do) could you please answer the following question.

Now that a new generation of Mustang amplifiers is scheduled for march, what is the planned upgrade path for the Mustang Floor?
-are you coming out with a new v2 model? or
-is it going to stay as is with less features than the rest of the mustang V2 family? or
-are you planning a v2 upgrade for the existing v1 floors?

Thanks in advance for your kind answer.

I never said the fender support is non existent, only that it is either deaf and/or unresponsive in the best of cases and wilfully ignoring customers in the worst case.

We know they read the forum as they answer naive questions about headphones and such, so I'm more inclined to the second option.

Even a "we can't comment on that" answer would be better than no answer at all.

I just pulled the trigger on my Mustang Floor. I wrestled with buying the MF brand-new at a too-good-to-be-true price point or outlaying more money for a used POD HD or VOX Tonelab LE and so far no regrets!

I have also wondered what is going on with 2.0. The big box stores are already selling 2.0 Mustang amps by order although they haven't actually hit floor stock here in the Midwest yet. They haven't deep discounted the 1.0 amps yet like they did with the Mustang Floor but I suspect they will have to start selling them for at most a quarter of the price of the 2.0s to get them out the door now.

One would think that the $100 price-drop on the Floor was due to a 2.0 Floor coming out... but again, they didn't price-drop the amps and the new amps are already out. I heard a rumor on a chat board somewhere that Fender had a hard time selling the Floor at the exact same price as a Mustang III because at the same price why not get a free 100w solid-state amp with your effects unit?

Fender touted the Mustang Floor as their first floor effects unit... and I am beginning to suspect it might also be their last. With no announcement of a version 2.0 and a $100 price-drop, it looks to me that Fender is having difficulty competing with Line 6, Boss and Zoom who have been doing the modeling thing for decades. Not that the Mustang Floor is inferior... but Fender got in the game late,

There is also possibly a supply/demand issue. I am sure the Floor does not sell as many units as the Mustang amps so there may be a larger amount of new stock in the Floors... hence the price-drop to push them out. Perhaps that means that the Floor 2.0 will eventually come out six months or a year after the 2.0 amps. Similarly, when Line 6 rolled out its Spider IV line, it continued to sell the original Spider Jam based on Spider III technology. It was more of a boutique product and I guess they just didn't see the need to upgrade the Spider Jam along with the other modeling amps in their lineup.
